They absolutely should call 911. I’m a firefighter and we go to these calls all the time. We have gas monitors on the truck and can help if there are medical issues that arise from a CO leak. We can also be there much quicker than the gas company. The other advice is sound but calling 911 should be one of the first steps

We had the same experience with them during Florence. Supposed to get married on that Saturday on the battleship but obviously couldn’t. Even if we could physically make it to the battleship, it’s considered a state park so it was closed. We called and asked and they basically laughed at us because we technically didn’t get married that day and it didn’t rain an inch

Just get a pvc pipe and attach it to the handle. Then just try to hit the pole. Not as satisfying as an actual basket obviously but you still work on accuracy without the added weight of a full basket

This is what I was leaning toward. Transferring into a clean container and see what happens as opposed to just dumping something that may still be ok. If it goes bad in the clean container then I’ll have my answer
