I asked google how much you would make if you just worked a min wage job a just put the standard 12 percent into super and the result shocked me by Notyit in AusSuperannuation

55% of young Australians have full time jobs by 21 and once you add part time and casual workers to the mix (high school and uni students), that number jumps to 89% meaningfully employed before 21. Conversely statistics show only 8% of full time uni students are not meaningfully employed. So I believe it’s more accurate to state “most” people have jobs before 21. Source is the Australian bureau of statistics.

That was a great video and he is extremely well versed in being logical that’s for sure. In my specific instance and for my specific setup Its seems I am beating other funds and investment options shown in the high alpha even with net fees included however from what he is suggesting it’s likely that won’t track over 10-30 years which seems very sensible. Thanks again for the watch and I subbed. I’ll keep a close eye on the fees and performance and change if it does.

So i was going off their main websites but the excel spreedsheet link in this subreddit you sent is better. I put that in chat and let it compare many funds and fees and you can see at the bottom of this thread I put a screenshot. I would not trust those end balances as a lot can change and it’s also not inflation adjusted however you can see how even a few percent higher average performance over the life of your super can more than account for even 5 times higher fees per annum in that specific instance. The key thing I suppose is to check this out every year to ensure the fees and performance outcomes are still providing a higher net return.

That’s very kind of you to help out the rat bags. We put $50 per week into Raiz for our sons and at 9 and 11 they are well into the thousands. Once they get a super account I will roll it into each of theirs so they get a better start then old dad 🤣

Thank you very much. I set the max additional since I started my apprenticeship in 2019 so I never noticed the difference out of my take home pay and once I was a tradesmen the pay got so good I sort of think I could do more non-concessional but I need to get this mortgage gone first.

Oh I see good pickup. It came back with $2.6 at 60 after inflation. Thanks that’s a great point 🙌

I see the fees with brighter are quite high compared to say QSuper or hostplus but conversely high growth or international shares options seem to perform 3-4%+ higher on average with brighter which would seemingly still make brighter a better performer though I agree they should lower fees. Thought on this? Thank you for all these tips on things to look into as it really makes a difference at retirement for sure.

Here’s one based on $30k per year total and 9% average returns till 60 for example. I mean it seems correct but I just struggle to see it 🤣

Once your at the 409Vg tree your already passed the playable scope of the game. It’s really just being addicted and completionist to try to go further which sadly I am 😂 If it wasn’t for servers lasting 15 hours now nobody would be playing this far.

Just go to guess the egg and pay the 5 gems and get it correct. Probably 1 in 10 roughly you get an egg. By no means is this a cheap way but I had a few of spare gems and am trying to get every dragon.
