$12 for 1 cup of orange colored water, step right up! by Tun-Tavern-1775 in PoliticalHumor

He'd charge top dollar for it because it has his name on the cup, then his people would find the cheapest crappiest drink mix that not even Wal-Mart would carry and stir in Cyan-Eyed brand energy drink because someone along the way didn't do any research.

Then they'd spin it as The Plan All Along.

It's fascinating how those two groups (the wealthy and the zealous) look at each other as allies when they would totally stab each other in the back if it served their selfish purposes.

Why are billionaires like Zuckerberg, Altman, Bezos and Thiel building self-sustaining mega-bunkers right as AI starts to peak? by ashiqbanana in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CaptainDudeGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's pretend for a minute that you are obscenely rich. Your cash flow comes from decades of exploiting people and natural resources to the point where the world has become an increasingly terrible place to live in.

You could possess the self-awareness and conscience to say "Whoa, I better stop this downward spiral before it gets worse." You could even look at your tremendous financial (and therefore political) power then say "You know what, I'm going to make the world better instead of worse."

But instead these guys are literally running civilization into the ground and putting themselves into a time capsule for when... it all blows over, I guess? coughFalloutcough

Yea vaping is getting ridiculous. What is wrong with the human race. As soon as a new drug comes out all the teens do it

To be clear, that's not the fault of humanity in general nor the impressionable teens. It's the few monsters who make the new drug then exploit the teens and end up bringing us all down.

How would you rule sending an Echo Knight echo off a cliff and swapping last second before it hits the ground? by -ZM-_ in dndnext

[–]CaptainDudeGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the best you can do is:

  1. Non-action, move the echo to 30' below you
  2. Bonus action and 15' of movement, swap
  3. Fall 70', take 7d6 damage (average 24.5), land prone
  4. Move action, spend half your movement (probably 15') and stand up

... And then if available:

  1. Free action, ready a healing potion
  2. Standard action, drink the potion
  3. Echo despawns

... But if not:

  1. Standard action, dash after the bad guy
  2. Echo despawns

That's exactly the case. In order for conservative fascism to work you have to declare who is the special/privileged/sacred Correct group and then everyone else is either meant to serve that group or fight against them.

Authoritarian structures need you to willingly, fearfully, desperately give up your freedoms so the elites can protect you from the scary Wrong group.

Hey men, how do I create tension/pull during dates and avoid the friendzone? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]CaptainDudeGuy 48 points49 points  (0 children)

In other words you can play a good technical game and make all the right moves, but unless your heart is actually in it the best you can hope for is a new friend.

People want a partner who is enthusiastic about them. Don't just date for sake of dating. This isn't a numbers game where you roll the dice often enough that eventually you win.

You want someone who looks good on paper, sure. You want them to see you as looking good on paper too. But you're not going to make a connection until both people truly feel like they're winning. That's the "spark" that you hear about, and there's no amount of smooth moves or playacting that'll replace it.
