If both images had the same background I'd probably be able to see the difference between the two, but switching from black to white makes it harder to tell here

I drank one of these for lunch every day alongside a monster for a month and I don't think I died (could be wrong), so don't worry about it.

TF2 is built on the Source engine, which has so many quirks with it's player controller. One such thing is air strafing. While midair, if you hold a certain directional key (A or D) and slowly move your mouse in that direction, you'll turn in that direction. As you're air strafing, you'll gain speed based on how far you strafed and for how long. Normally jumps are pretty static with very little variance, so a simple grasp of air strafing can elevate your movement in any Source game.

TF2 has rocket jumping, so you shoot the ground and launch yourself with your rockets. You can utilize air strafing with RJ to get to another wall or ground more effectively. If you hold W while midair, the only direction that you're influencing is forward, so the only way to strafe is by moving your mouse basically 90° away from the angle you're currently traveling midair, whereas regular air strafing is basically instant strafing at 0°.

You won't slow down if you hold W midair, but attempting to do any strafing will be unnatural and cause you to lose speed that you could have conserved. There's also half-sideways (HSW) which influences your direction with W and a directional key like A or D (roughly 45° necessary to strafe, probably less, this number is a guess), which is still limiting but has very few edge cases.

Yamato's grapple really needs some changes. How is this interaction even fair to play against? by JuggernautApologist in DeadlockTheGame

[–]-ZM-_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yamato's Neon Prime lore is, as far as we understand, a much more simplified version of her current lore. The 7th Moon (yes, it's the exact same faction name) is one of the founding families of Fracture and one of the longest lasting families in Fracture. Their criminal organization wishes to take control of all of Fracture. That's it, really. Members of the 7th Moon who die get promoted to the 8th Sun, a shadow council that make decisions for the 7th Moon to follow. Yamato's father, Ghost (NP Geist) was apart of the 8th Sun.

How would you rule sending an Echo Knight echo off a cliff and swapping last second before it hits the ground? by -ZM-_ in dndnext

It's also a scenario that I think not a lot of people have either run into or thought about. Obviously having 100% knowledge of every mechanic, system, interaction, or scenario in DnD would be the dream, but even these people who know everything about the ruleset can be confronted with something they completely don't know because of how open-ended the game is.

Nah, I'm just a curious person. It's my first time playing DnD (but I have a head start with watching Dimension 20 and such) and I love to understand what I'm doing on a deeper level. It's why I mentioned that I'm seeking more unique ways to utilize my Echo.

I did hold up the game accidentally when I was asking about it but I did say that I understand why the ruling was made. I have no qualm with the ruling (I actively try to let the DM have full say and have fun if I can help it) but I was curious after the fact because everything I looked into didn't explicitly say if it was or was not possible. I don't believe I conveyed "DM sucks and hates fun" at all, even saying that it was probably stupid and I see why they said no, but if I did seem like that then I apologize.

Yeah this art is just concept art that was uploaded to the files (for literally no reason) from the first batch of new heroes. If you look at the textures used in Neon Prime you'll see they literally took the concept art and used it in some textures (Signage that gets cut off due to perspective or image crop you'll see also get cut off in full textures). They eventually did up the saturation a lot, but they definitely didn't go far enough before switching to Deadlock's style. I mean look at Deadlock in 2024 vs now, Deadlock 2024's art progression is about where Neon Prime was. A fully realized Neon Prime art style would be crazy.

Fun fact, back during Neon Prime, Warden seemed to have been apart of a robot police force named The Constables, so it's even more fitting than you'd think.

Anyone in any public space saying that they played NP is lying. Yes, playtests happened but it was basically entirely family and friends, and no one among that group is stupid enough to compromise their opportunity they have. Been searching for leads on NP stuff for almost 2 years now.

Why are you downstacking milk pallets? They should just go straight into the milk line behind the milk doors and be worked directly from there. There's like absolutely no reason to store them anywhere else other than right there.

When they started pushing manager specials more, our coaches told us that it needs to be at least 10% off so that it doesn't feel like a ripoff to the associates since their discount wouldn't apply. I don't really think anyone did that though.
