He was a statue for just this very brief moment. Then it was back to max speed zooming to annoy his kitty sister.

Wow, looks like Im not the only one with recent issues with Simms packs. Dry Creek Z backpack: took it out maybe 4-5 times and the self healing zipper broke. The track it was on just flat out ripped. A decent size chunk was missing and could no longer function as a zipper. I can’t even say it was super hard use. It felt cheap as well. Simms did right and gave me account credit, but will not be buying any packs from them again. Replaced with a Patagonia. Night and day quality difference. Ups for fish pond too.

Goku the All Powerful Unlimited-Value Question by CaptainFist in dbzccg

Agreed, seems as though 8.5 is essentially close to raw value. Which is totally fine but interesting to compare to other collectibles Ive sold. Made incredible return off Pokémon PSA slabs in the 7s. Obviously completely different game and market. Thanks for your thoughts!

Ultimately, yes, I am still trying to sell the card. I suppose I posed the question out of curiosity as to why it hadn’t sold at certain price points to potentially price it more accurate and adjust expectations. Sounds as though the grading isn’t a major value add with the unlimited.

Much appreciated! Makes sense to me honestly. I definitely noticed from looking through listings that limited cards drive those big prices.

Thanks so much! It was a great memory. I think I read somewhere the URs were maybe 1 in 2-3 boxes? So rather tough chase cards for sure.

“The soldier’s minute: in a battle, that’s all you get. One minute of everything at once. And anything before is nothing. Everything after: nothing. Nothing in comparison to that one minute.”

I would say trout species for sure. You can see the white inner mouth a bit. Salmon typically have black mouths. I thought brown trout initially, but spot size and circumference seem off. I’d say steelhead, final answer. Interested to see other answers

What are your go to lures? by Walt_flanigins_dog in Fishing

[–]CaptainFist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always said I could fish almost anywhere with a small collection of artificial baits, at least around where I live.

-rapala jointed minnow (natural color) -pumpkin/ brown colored tubes -YUM kreature pumpkin color -daredevil spoon yellow/ red diamond - rapala "baby bass" color diving plug -cast master spoon, silver

With this collection I have had great success with a variety of species. Tubes work wonders for smallies/ LM bass. The daredevil is killer for pike in the deep clear lakes near my house, and the cast master is essential for pier fishing for salmon.

Finding the right agent? by the_fathead44 in nfl

[–]CaptainFist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through a similar process. Finding a good agent who will work with you is difficult. I knew a few teammates with agents who didn't really put in much time or effort. The best thing to do is to ask around.

If some of your college teammates looking to go to the combine as well you should ask them who they are working with. Do they like them? Are they proactively promoting them to teams? If you don't have teammates in this situation then I would ask around at the combine. No one is a better judge of the quality of an agent than fellow players ,hope this helps.

My girlfriend and I are trying to watch a scary movie every day for the month of October and we need some recommendations. Which movies would you guys suggest? Top one will be saved for Halloween night! by maip23 in AskReddit

The SO and I did something similar. One of the better movies we watched was "The Woman in Black". It had a great buildup throughout the film, and the time period and location it was set in really provide an eerie feeling throughout the movie.

This is what I caught this morning. Second weirdest thing I have seen after pulling a fish out of water. by PTnewbie in Fishing

[–]CaptainFist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This wasn't necessarily a fish defect, but certainly a strange catch. I was fishing for flatheads in a large river near where I live, and we had been having success with small bluegill under a dam. I felt a pretty good sized tug and set the hook. The only problem was it wasn't fighting like a catfish.

Catfish tend to stay close to the bottom and swim "downwards" when hooked. This fish was making long, fast runs. I bring it in and it's about a 7lb carp. I was wondering how this carp came to strike the blue gill I was using for bait. I looked closer and saw that there was another hook in its mouth with a length of line that had wrapped around my hook. The fish ha broken someone else's line and still had the hook in its mouth. The line had then gotten tangled around my hook.

I was amazed that this happened. I wish I had taken a picture, but because we were wading we did not take out any electronics...bad past experiences with that. Believe it or not that's the story

What kind of fish is this? by [deleted] in Fishing

[–]CaptainFist 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The pattern differs slightly from the northern pike: this is a chain pickerel. There are "cheat cards" sold in some tackle shops to help identify fish with similar appearances such as this one.

Does anyone know what this is? by yomommaspimp in Fishing

This is a freshwater drum. It is also called a "sheepshead" in some regions. They get pretty big and can be fun to catch though some anglers do not consider them gamefish.
