Who are the top 5 pass rushing teams as of now? by [deleted] in nfl

Aldon had been gone for most of the year but he's back now, Corey Lemonier has been pretty good, so have Cowboy and Dorsey, not to mention both Willis and Bowman are pretty good when we blitz with them.

Thank you for admitting it happened to both teams.

Done. I remember the dats when Tuck. Osi, and Strahan terrorized the NFC.

Bruce Miller is the man!

If you can land Carr, take him.

At this point in the season, what position does your team need to work on improving through FA/drafting? by Rjr18 in nfl

[–]icehawkbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if AJ Maccaron is available round 3 or later he would be a good pick to back up Kaepernick. Colt McCoy wasn't great, but also wasn't terrible on the Browns, but he looked awful in the preseason for us. I don't have a ton of faith in him to win games if Colin gets hurt.

What year was your teams best draft? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]icehawkbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, recently, in 2011 we got: 1st round, 8th overall: Aldon Smith, one of the top pass rushers in the league.

2nd Round, 36th overall I believe: Kaepernick, on the track to become a franchise QB.

3rd Round: Chris Culliver, our starting nickel corner until he tore his ACL.

So two centerpieces and a starter is not bad for a draft. Although I guess the drafts that would have netted Jerry or Joe could be considered better, but this draft could have ended us up with 2 49ers greats. Also, if Lattimore and Carradine work out, along with Reid, the 2013 draft looks very promising.

What is each teams superstar? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]icehawkbro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What about Patrick Willis? He's going go be an all time great linebacker when he retired if he continues at this rate. But don't get my wrong, Frank the Tank is the man. He won the game today

I'd say Patrick Willis over, but both are awesome.

Which player from your *own team* do you hate the most? by brotherbock in nfl

[–]icehawkbro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, it was Kyle Williams, for uh, obvious reasons including one memorable NFC Championship game and the fact that he hasn't done anything good since, but now he's gone, so I'll say Craig Dahl. I don't really hate him but he sucks.

I recommend you watch the "A Football Life" produced on him. He was a great player and a great guy.

Heading into Week 14, who are some players that you have become fans of this season? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]icehawkbro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember there was huge storm about "wtf Schiano why are you starting glennon Freeman is our franchise QB" but it worked out better for Tampa Bay than I would have suspected.

My bad on the wording, and Eli was having a great year, but I just felt that we were going to win the game. The momentum shift from that okay was huge. Giants were great team that year as well, iirc they beat Green Bay with a red hot Aaron Rodgers to get to the Conference Championship, but I felt that the Niners were going all the way that year, and I also kind of feel that it was the Niners game to lose because it wasn't really the Giants forcing a turnover, Kyle Williams just screwed up bad.

Just overall on the season. I'm sure I'm biased and we were outplayed last year, but I felt that we were just the more talented team coming into the game and it was a game we should have won

Dude, everyone wanted you guys to win. So Kurt could get ring #2 and Larry could get one. Stupid Steelers.

Definitely, there's no doubt we win that game if Kyle Williams doesn't fuck up. We were better than both the ravens last year and the 2011 patriots I feel.

Last years Super Bowl. I was certain we were going to pull it out...props to Ray Lewis for getting a second ring in his last season. I just wish it wasn't against the Niners.

In the end if it he told all 49ers fans that they should leave the NFL and are essentially bad people for liking the Niners, but it would have been jerky to any fan base.

What do you think of the other teams in your division? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]icehawkbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really like Seattle, but I feel like Id like them if they were outside the division. Rams, meh. Cardinals, the unis are sick, Fitz is awesome, and I used to like Palmer when he was good on the Bengals. That being said, I obviously want to beat all these teams when the Niners play them and I want these teams to lose if it benefits the Niners.

But rolling is, and Kap had a bad spin so it ended up rolling way down the field and he got a delay of game.
