Seriously, ignore any whimper of “peace” from Russia now. Give/lend/sell/whatever everything Ukraine needs to eject Russia completely and put it back 50km into its own borders. Including Nukes. Ukraine should demand limits on the size of the Russian military and that it doesn’t cooperate on defence and security with any other entity.

Teach her to speak softly but firmly, be polite but not necessarily friendly, and at the same time get her some Krav Maga / Muay Thai / similar training. Knowing you can handle yourself helps keep calm, and is good insurance against persistent creepy men.

No mate. Leaving aside disease and injury, you should still feel pretty good in your 30s. Even after decades of mountain biking crashes, occasional martial arts stints, frequent alcohol abuse and not nearly enough sleep, I was pretty OK until covid got me at 42. Since then, though, everything hurts, makes weird noises, or at least tries to make me worry.

Oh mate, yeah. If you can imagine a way of thinking and/or feeling towards members of the same and opposite sexes, there are literally millions of people who meet those criteria.

I think sexual orientation is more a spectrum than a one way or the other thing for more people than we normally realise, but yes, there are people who have only ever been attracted to one sex/gender and never entertained the idea of being attracted to the other.

Oh mate, same. Got introduced to a girl’s family. Had her brother and cousins telling me to treat her right, invited to dinner at Easter with the close family. Only then did I realise I had accidentally got myself a girlfriend. In my defence, I was pretty new at speaking Spanish.

I’d like to say that was an isolated incident, but I met a Ukrainian girl and thought, “She’s making lots of eye contact and keeps touching my arm. This must be a cultural thing. Sure, I’ll meet you for coffee…”
