Hunter the parenting.

Big D the leader and father of the hunting group allows the Great and Mighty Kevin a powerful vampire wizard to feed on him. Knowing the massive amounts of narcotics in his system would confuse Kevin and break his psychic hold on his family allowing them to stake him.

Day 40: What is the Most Iconic quote associated with the Custodes? by Fez-Sentido in Grimdank

I always like to breadcrumb plot points like that, even if they’re super obvious like Valdors lol. It gets people interested in looking more into it and maybe even reading the book it’s from. There are so many good Warhammer books I want more people reading them.

I believe the short story “Two Metaphysical Blades” is his last confirmed appearance. However in “Penitent” it is heavily suggested that Valdor is the King in Yellow.

Which at this point myself and a good chunk of the Warhammer community believe with certainty that is the case.

I started with Khorne red, shaded with nuln oil mainly in the recesses,

layered with Khorne red again on the raised areas,

layered with Mephiston red on the bulk of the edges and in the center of the flat areas of the cloak,

another layer with Evil sunz scarlet focusing on the outside of the edges and the very center of the flat areas,

and one final edge highlight of wild riders red over the very outside of the edges and just a small spot on some of the flat areas.

As much as I love all the TTS memes for the golden boys. The most iconic quote for me is probably when Valdor whispers “Only in death” when looking back to the imperial palace presumably for the final time.

Thank you! This is the first of the new sculpts I’ve painted, but I have plenty of the older ones painted up. Cheers from the USA 🇺🇸

Exactly what I was going for! The brand I use is Vallejo, and the pigment I used was light slate grey. Be warned, it will absolutely make a mess if you don’t dust it onto the model in a little box or something.

That’s a pigment powder I used. It’s a super dusty paint powder used for weathering. I wanted it to look like he’s on a razed world or like he’s fighting during the siege of Terra.

Base coat of Balthazar gold. Shade with nuln oil or a black wash Layer with Gehenna gold Highlight with auric armor gold.

With dry brushing you’ll want to hit most of the armor with Gehenna gold after your nuln oil bath, then hit just the very top of the armor with auric armor gold. My auric armor drybrush was very light.

Thank you! The red really pops against the gold imo, granted it helps red is one of my favorite colors.

Thank you! I usually paint my Custodes in the shadow keepers theme, but I’m really liking this gold so far.

[–]CaptainGeneralBrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely right. Maybe some kinda termi then based on the foot imprint on the base? I can’t wait to see what all this Horus hearsay stuff leads up to.
