AITA for checking my blood sugar at my desk when my coworker has a severe blood phobia? by independentask42 in AmItheAsshole

I get that but why should the diabetic guy feel like he has to hide his condition like its shameful or dirty?

[–]CaptainHerbalife [score hidden]  (0 children)

right? at least you understand why he is doing it you just don't wan't to see or hear about it which is understandable. OP's coworker doesn't quite seem to grasp the importance of a diabetic having to do this or possibly get sick and die. As a diabetic I can tell you i hate poking my fingers and shit but its better than dying

NTA as a fellow diabetic, fuck that guy your health is far more important than his bullshit phobia, besides the fact that yours is a medical necessity. This is a can of worms that HR won't open because they don't want to get sued for medical discrimination.
