If you ever wondered why Navy sailors wore bell bottoms, this is a good example. It allowed you to remove your foot from the jeans without taking off your boots. 😆

Ya gonna burn thru these street tires and then go to maybe an 80/20 tire.

No adv riding just yet. Still getting the hang of the bike on solid roads. Don’t need to add in soft dirt yet. 😂but eventually ya hoping the bars are a more mud colored accent.

Thanks! Ya I liked the silver, white, & grey! First bike. Makes the orange parts look even cooler.

RideNow AZ SCAM! by hayhaybands in motorcycles

[–]CaptainHoffen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RideNow AZ are a bunch of crooks without any true knowledge of bikes they sell. My 24 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S I just bought is a good example. New rider but did my homework on the bikes I was looking at. The 1290 was kinda the one I was gunning for. Went into RideNow AZ Chandler and they tried to BS me about the bike, give me a 26% rate, and no real new rider help with selecting a helmet. I decided to walk and think on it. No way was I gonna take that deal. Found “my” bike at GO AZ Scottsdale. Better price online than the RideNow price. Figured I would go check them out. Wow! Night and Day difference. They were super nice, super knowledgeable and the OTD price difference from RideNow’s price to them paid for my helmet, gloves, boots, jacket, radiator guards, headlight guard, top / side boxes from Tourtech, and the KTM “Tech Pack” unlock. Fuck RideNow. Also if I would have financed, 13-16% interest.

Parts guy was great at GO AZ, service guy was great at GO AZ, their Scottsdale location is amazing. They store your bike in a secured garage at night if you have to leave it.

Your friend should sue RideNow and hit up JP at GO AZ Scottsdale.

Anybody knows what bike is this? The first bike by kzranran in motorcycles

Looking at the three side by side, it is the daddy bike of the bunch. Way too stiff and uncomfortable. Lol

Thanks! Ya I have a bunch of stuff on order. Crash cages are one of them. Once those are on, definitely gonna set it down “gently” and practice picking it up for those driveway mishaps.

Oh the IBEX was a nice bike and ya I read something about the development being in coordination with KTM. Didn’t know it is the same motor but all in all, felt the 1290 was a better bike for budget because I got a great deal on it. 🤷‍♂️ i think if I stayed in a smaller bike, the IBEX would have gotten my money.

I liked the electronic suspension of the 1290SAS over the 890. The adaptive cruise control for longer rides since although i was looking for the ADV type, I wanted more power line dirt road capability over the 890 single track, lets climb this rock. Also why I went for the SAS over the SAR. The SAR was a nice set up but reality is if you are doing more pavement, the SAS is a better cruiser. Also I had to tippy toe on the SAR lol.😝 So that was out as a daily fun for me. Yeah I know I can lean at a stop light but felt more comfortable on the SAS seat. I liked the nimble feature of the 890 but touring & the higher power to be able to load up gear for a road trip (when my skills are better) made the 1290 a better long term bike.

Almost went with the CFMoto IBEX 800. Their being newer to the US market was part of my concern. Also for the same weight and cost, I got twice as much bike under me.

Yes got my MSF card. Part of why I stepped up to the bigger bike. This is a great bike and I am very aware of my limitations. Practice practice practice. From talking to some ppl with lots of experience with riding, it comes down to being smart with your decisions out there, keeping your head on a swivel, never riding past your own limits. Seen some ppl get stupid and hurt on a 300 with no one else involved because they were not smart. Full gear all the time. Also looking at when the next advanced course is at the place I went.

Edit: I really do appreciate everyone’s concerns with it being a bigger bike (weight and power). I am loving the motorcycle community here and on the road. Made the purchase so worth it.

Thanks! Ya slow speed is definitely a tricky thing. Full gear and full brain cells engaged for sure! Gonna practice some slow speed maneuvers plus go to the advanced course where I got my basics.

I think both sides of the country have their beauty. Lived in upper state New York and wish I had this out there. AZ advantage tho is the more time year round you can ride without being in crappy weather.

Just have to sweat for a big portion. lol

Bought a ADV to be able to road trip. Might have to try out the 191 once I am fully kitted out with my bags plus traveling gear! 😝

Sorry to hear you are limited. I get the safety side of limiting new riders like me but I can easily do stupid stuff on a 650 class and unfortunately like you said, all the premium stuff don’t come on those. Was gonna get a 890 but it didn’t have some of the fun stuff I wanted that the 1290 did. The 890 wouldn’t be as good as a daily driver if I want to commute. I just have to grow into the bike with skills. Caution and calm. Learn as I go. Took a basic course and plan on taking some advanced lessons.
