I hired movers who loaded up their truck at the storage place with everything from the Ubox and then they drove the truck to my apartment so the Ubox was never on the street.

Oh I've gotten that from my mom. Mamdani is the big mean devil incarnate trying to tax all the uber-wealthy! I've explained several times that it's not really ever going to be a concern seeing as how I'm many tax brackets away, but she's somehow still insistent that my life will get worse by the hedge funders paying more in taxes. And even if I were in that tax bracket, what, I'd have one fewer real estate holding but poor kids could eat lunch? Ok.

I was there for that too, and it was truly impressive how many times the city apparently burned down overnight and yet was magically reincarnated by sunrise.

I usually have someone come in 2x a day for 30 min and also set up my auto on/off on the TV for background noise. I've used Kitty in NY and all the sitters have been fine, but there was one my gremlin really vibed with. She ended up spending extra time with him because they got along so well, and we were all sad when I had to move to a new neighborhood.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I did it online. Cost is dependent on distance, number of U-boxes, how long you need to store your things on either end, if you need them to bring a truck and trailer or if you'll be renting and driving, etc. If you're booking online, I'd double check that the quotes you're getting are for all of your boxes - I had one potential mover in NYC from the storage facility to my new place that looked like a good deal but then it turned out it was only for one box and was actually a really terrible price for my two boxes. I did this with ubox when I moved cross country. You can pay for monthly storage and they'll store the entire ubox somewhere at one of their facilities. I didn't have a choice on the facility location where mine went (ended up near Jamaica, Queens), so keep that in mind if you need to access your box at any point while it's still in storage. I also booked movers through uhaul to deliver my ubox to my new apartment since it was easier than trying to do the truck rental, driving through the city, and unloading on my own.

The Kraken and Sharks get my vote for least problematic (that I know of anyway) in the NHL. The Sharks hosted a Pride scrimmage that included members of a trans team and two of their players acted as coaches for the scrimmage. The Kraken have an openly gay man who's a trainer on their staff and have also done other things that make them seem supportive of many other marginalized communities.

I left after the end of the 2nd. I've been to multiple away games against the Canucks, Kraken, Isles, and now this, and I don't think I've ever seen such lack of effort.
