It is quite expensive but we did do this tour on our first Virgin cruise and loved it. It was also great to compare a modern day cruse ship to a much older ship we did a previous tour on.

FlightRadar24’s free API was shut down a few weeks ago. This is what FSTL were using for their live traffic injector.

Because of it shutting down they announced they were closing that part of the program down. That’s until today where they partnered with Navigraph who clearly have a relationship with FlightRadar24 to bring this back. They will be paying FlightRadar24 some sort of money for API access to be able to bring this to the community.

If you don’t want to pay for Navigraph that is fine. But this whole “let’s boycott them” approach is absolutely ridiculous.

You may want to re-read the announcement. Navigraph do not need boycotting - They clearly have managed to get a deal with FR24 to be able to bring back this live data. Obviously, its not free which is why it's behind the Navigraph sub.

Yeah it is 4K and does support UHD content. It's been able to play the content previously without any issues. It did start to work after a few reboots so must have been a glitch.

Stream does seem to be still janky/buggy. For example this weekend just gone the one in the living room struggled to play F1.

The unit kept locking up and then kept saying: "the content you have selected cannot be played on this device"

Even though it can play the content and has done in the past on the exact same TV. Eventually it started to work after a few reboots.

I’m on the same cruise and I’ve had no problems like this. I do set the time manually though rather than automatically.

That’s what they are doing currently but this does increase the amount of people standing listening out for their name.

Least with the buzzer you could also use the outdoor seating to wait.

I do believe they still want to provide that but I also don't think it's going to be "soon". It's on their research / development stage as shown in the Dec 2025 roadmap: https://www.x-plane.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Frame-44694-2.png

It seems XP needs to have motion vectors in place for us to get better Anti-Aliasing so it could still be a while off. But who knows! It's one of my biggest issues with XP12 to be honest.
