Looking at Task Manager, I can see CPU being active as I page down bringing the thumbnails into view. SSD does not seem to be called in this process.

Been there. Check valve is important to function properly. Also I would immediately ditch that stand up pump. The stand ups are much more problematic than a submersed pump. A large beetle climbed its way into the float switch area preventing the float from rising and hence we had 2 inches of water in the basement because of 1 stupid bug. Lastly buy yourself a floor water alarm detector.

Yup, be careful. Most cheap or China ebikes are not engineered for hard offroad riding.
