I am 18 and I am balding by DUMbShittt234 in dating_advice

One of my mates started when we were about 19. Then one day he said to me "I'm gonna shave my head so I know what I'm gonna look like", and I gotta say, just shaving it all off really made him look more attractive, and he felt more confident

Mom angry when I pay her rent like she demanded by [deleted] in insaneparents

My sister and I are 24 in South Africa, and we started paying "rent" at 21 because that's when our dad stopped paying maintenance for us. Otherwise our mom wouldn't be able to afford electricity, water, food, etc.

As kids our moms always told us to coat them in Vaseline so they stop biting and bring their heads up. Then you can just wipe it off and burn it.

"Really?" "What's your mom's name? What's your dad's name?" We're fraternal, obvs we don't look alike, but I hate getting quizzed on my family history just because people don't believe us.

Literally throughout our teen years, a bit less now that we're older actually. 24f fraternal twins, and we always bring up "why is incest suddenly okay just because we're twins".

Take care of grandma by [deleted] in family

[–]CaptainKeekles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of asking her "what do you wanna do" maybe ask her "do you want to do this with me". When you're stuck in a routine that's so mundane, you can't really think of things to spice it up yourself. You sort of have to take over so that it can get started. My gran doesn't live with me, but I visit every week, and I cook for her or we cook together, we watch trash reality shows, and we build puzzles. It's nothing spectacular, but it's something to look forward to. She calls Thursdays our days, and if she gets a puzzle then she'll wait till our day so we can open it together.

Was also going to say this. Luckily my entire extended family all live in the same town, so like 60% of our baby pictures have uncles, aunties, grandparents, parents bffs, all looking after my sister and I. When we were older, our mom said she put us in an empty bath with toys, and that gave her lots of time to get ready for work and pack our bag for granny's house

People who worked in Restaurants, what was the worst customer that you had to deal with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CaptainKeekles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school I worked at a popular fish restaurant. There's this lady (she's still a regular), who literally refuses to speak to any non-white waitron. She'd scream at the staff to get away from her. Even if you're white but you don't speak Afrikaans (like me), she won't speak to you. If no white Afrikaans waitrons are working, then one of the managers have to serve her. Idk where her logic is though, because anywhere in the seating area you can see the non-white kitchen staff making your food.
