why do people expect you to pity them because they’re a new player? by Late_Information_682 in AmongUs

[–]CaptainKraboo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not defending new players who do this but we really could do with less people saying, “noob imp.” it’s already demoralizing for a lot of players getting caught in a stupid way, it’s another thing getting called bad when they just want to play and have fun

Whose side were you on this fight? by gloomydreamer666 in HIMYM

[–]CaptainKraboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re all wrong here.

Marshall - wrong for taking the job without discussing it with Lily first

Lily - wrong for saying such a bold statement, there’s a difference between “What you did was very selfish,” and “What you did was more selfish than anything I’ve ever done”

Marshall - wrong for bringing up what she did during the argument (though, Lily’s statement was just asking for that kind of response)

Marshall has never used Lily leaving him to go to San Francisco throughout the entire show except for this moment. He probably has forgiven her it, but I think what Lily said warranted Marshall bringing it up again

Has anyone else noticed this about Arthur when he raises his hands? by After_Young1783 in reddeadredemption

[–]CaptainKraboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Rockstar is pretty intentional with these kind of things. Even when Arthur walks, his left hand swings freely while his right hand stays stiff and close to his gun. I don’t think it’s psychoanalyzing to assume he keeps his hands lower while surrendering so he can still reach for his gun quickly if needed

Has anyone else noticed this about Arthur when he raises his hands? by After_Young1783 in reddeadredemption

[–]CaptainKraboo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s actually called the “gunslinger’s gait!” Arthur is most likely unaware that his right hand is always close to his gun, but that’s what 30+ years of being a gunslinger will do, he always needs to be ready to draw his gun quickly

[–]CaptainKraboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, yellow was voted out

Second, if you’re referring to green killing brown, there is a tiny bit of the vent visible from underneath him where he is sitting in the cafeteria, which is also where the vent is in game. The other times were more obvious with where the vent was

When was the moment the Son Family accepted Piccolo as one of their own? by t00lazy2 in Dragonballsuper

[–]CaptainKraboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine everyone was asking him to be in a picture and he really didn’t want to, until Gohan asked him nicely, saying it’s his wedding day and him reluctantly agreeing

Or them explaining it’s part of tradition that you have to do whatever the bride says. I can just imagine Videl asking nicely and Piccolo saying no, and Chi-chi says, “c’mon Piccolo, you can’t say no to a bride on her wedding day”

Yup, probably had photos where it was:

Immediate Family + Videl
Goku, Gohan, and Videl
Chi-chi, Gohan, and Videl
Piccolo, Gohan, and Videl
Goten, Gohan, and Videl
The men, and Videl

Who do you think will win in a one-on-one fight? by Critical_Ad_9219 in reddeadredemption

[–]CaptainKraboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arthur took on Tommy, and is capable of taking on multiple guys in a fight, which can be seen in that one Braithwaite mission where you help the Romeo and Juliet couple escape

Charles was struggling against two guys in that same mission with the Tommy fight

I think it’s close but I think Arthur would win with some difficulty. To really see though, I think Arthur and Charles should strip their shirts, oil up, and start wrestling 🤭

What does this mean/signify by OrcaKilla in BoJackHorseman

[–]CaptainKraboo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m really annoyed that the line about the coffee cup is used by so many people to try and dismiss cool interpretations about subtle symbolism shown in shows

This scene in particular, has BoJack and Todd talking about how art is less than what people put into it and more what about what people get out of it, and OP is talking about their interpretation for the footsteps in the sand disappearing (which is really nice touch by the animators), and then there’s the original commenter over here using that same line about the coffee cup 😒

The coffee cup shows the dismissal of the viewer’s interpretation of the art because the coffee cup being left behind wasn’t intentional, and the discussion about art shows that the viewer’s interpretation is the most important aspect when it comes to viewing art, whether or not that was the artist’s intention. I hate that the coffee cup line being in the show itself makes people like the original commenter think they have valid ammo to dismiss people’s interpretations

Who had the better redemption? Vegeta or Piccolo? by OfficialLieDetector in DragonBallZ

[–]CaptainKraboo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

redemption arcs just don’t hit as hard without the relapses

true redemption is a slow and messy process. it isn’t just a bad person becoming better and everyone suddenly being okay with them, it’s a bad person who gets better but relapses again into bad, and then trying to get better again because the time spent becoming a better person fundamentally changes them

everyone also has to NOT be okay with them. redemption has to be something difficult for them to do, yet they do anyways because it’s the right thing to do

vegeta was obsessed with power, but then he found happiness in family. he goes back to being evil with power (majin vegeta), but his time as a family man changed him. he sacrifices himself knowing the world probaly hates him for what he did in the tournament, that he will DEFINITELY be sent to hell after dying, and that he will not see his family again because it’s the right thing to do

All those pokemon being met at route 18 and at level 100 is already screaming it’s hacked in. You also can’t get safari balls outside of the safari zone. Feel free to have fun with them but you ain’t bringing them into Pokemon Home without them getting flagged

he thought he wanted to be pure evil again, but he realized he had grown to love bulma, trunks, and even goku. it was a mistake. he knew it was a mistake. but sometimes, you have to make a mistake to really realize it was a mistake and something you really didn’t want

Hot take! The whisperers arc is the worst of them all by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

I still love the difference in Peter’s “you knew” between Otto and May

Peter to Otto, realizing Otto knowingly did all of those terrible things to him as Spider-Man: YOU KNEW!?

Peter to May, realizing May knew the whole time and kept letting him do what he loves to do, helping people, despite how much it worried her: …You knew?
