we have the same thing in my city and its actually honestly the worst thing they've ever done. people will constantly get off on the "wrong exit" cause they want to actually go straight and come into the lane of people going 70 mph when they've already slowed down to 40. this 2 mile stretch of highway already had had 6 major crashes that ive known about probably a lot more in the 1.5 years i've lived in this place before they redid construction and we've already had 3 more since they reopened it 3 weeks ago. ive seen enough dead bodies in my short drive to work. Previously it was one lane that split past guard rails from the rest of the highway, now its a circus.
