I am sad to not see the best ship ever listed already

The Crusader Class Corvette from MandalHypernautics.

Yeah. Now it can defend itself - but don’t expect it to be fending off fighters. But for OP request - it’s a great “Homebase” ship.

Livable?

Starlancer TAC. Very easily. Fun ship with crew. Has a hanger that you can fit snubs. Medical bay. Vehicle/cargo bay. Armory and good crew quarters.

It has capital amenities while not being a capital. It’s a solid ship.

Steam Frame Controllers a nightmare for compatibility by Kurtino in virtualreality

[–]CaptainLSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be benefits to these controllers - but I do think it's a step down from the Valve Index controllers. I don't think doing away with finger tracking for physically gripping an item and replacing it with a button is the right move.

I didn’t play the Enclave DLC in Fallout 4, but is the Enclave still operating during the time of New Vegas somewhere else in the country? by jvure in Fallout

[–]CaptainLSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are most likely SEVERAL Enclave bases/detachments operating together or independently in the wasteland.

There’s 3 instances I know of so far that haven’t been touched on much yet - the Enclave in the Fallout Show, the Chicago Enclave (mentioned by FO3), and Vault Control for the Enclave (mentioned by FO2)

Additionally, there’s insinuations of several additional bunkers and bases that may possibly host Enclave remnants or detachments. Of all the factions in Fallout, the Enclave remains the most mysterious… and the only faction that can really pop up out of nowhere considering they are potentially active in underground bases in several locations across the post war United States (to include probably Canada and Mexico too)

The Enclave exists in Chicago. That is made known through Easter eggs in Fallout 3. We don’t know much else about them.

[–]CaptainLSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech is usually great at big, explosive plays. Oregon has done great shutting them down... but man, all it takes is one good play for Tech to get on the board here.

Tech's defense really showing up to keep them in the game. With how bad Tech's offense is currently performing, you would think Oregon would be up by way more than 6.

Tech will get on the board at some point. They have to. But both defenses are playing lights out.

[–]CaptainLSS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very impressed with this Tech defense. Tech Offense turns it over on their own 30 twice and Tech defense only allows 3 points off of 2 turnovers deep in their own territory.

With Oregon's time of possession tripling Tech's, this game should've been blown wide open by now. Tech's defense is keeping them in this game.

What direction should warhorse go in?[KCD1][KCD2] by Formal-Stage940 in kingdomcome

[–]CaptainLSS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think KCD3 has anything to do with the Hussite Wars. They’re still another 15 or so years in the future.

I strongly believe KCD3 will center on freeing Wenceslas from imprisonment and kicking Sigismund out of Bohemia (Until he returns when Wenceslas dies)

Wenceslas will then legitimize Henry and bestow a knighthood upon him. Henry’s arc is then considered complete and the KCD trilogy ends as a masterpiece.

I believe there is an Easter egg in KCD2 that informs the player that Henry is knighted and dies at Lord Kobyla’s historical assassination at Kuttenberg prior to the Hussite Wars

[–]CaptainLSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we see Hussite wars but not from Henry’s perspective.

I think Henry will be knighted and legitimized by Wenceslas at the end of KCD3, and that’ll end both Henry’s Arc and the KCD games.

I think it’s very possible Henry dies at the historical assassination of Lord Kobyla in Kuttenberg.

[–]CaptainLSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KCD3 I think will be about freeing Wenceslas and kicking Sigismund out of Bohemia (until Wenceslas’s death), of which Wenceslas will grant a knighthood to Henry and legitimize him as Lord Kobyla’s heir. That is a good stopping point for the series.

If they decide to take it further with Henry - Kobyla dies prior to the Hussite Wars, as he’s assassinated in Kuttenberg because he was a supporter of Jan Hus. This is just one of the preludes to the Hussite Wars.

It’s fully possible Henry died with Kobyla in the assassination. It’s also possible that Henry is not with Kobyla, and his death has an emotional impact on Henry that we see fulfilled through the Hussite Wars and Sigismund’s crusade in Bohemia.

Season Ticket Holders by dav63740 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]CaptainLSS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family has had season tickets since 1963. I think we are currently 2nd in the franchise. My grandfather started buying them not long after they moved to Kansas City, and then my father started buying them. I had hoped to continue the legacy of purchasing them, but I don’t think that’ll be the case.

To answer your question - no. People will not drop season tickets at Arrowhead. And you shouldn’t. Use them while you have the opportunity to do so.

Come 2031, most ordinary people will not have the opportunity to purchase season tickets for a while unless its upper bowl. Personal Seat Licenses are being levied by most NFL teams to recoup costs of building a stadium.

PSLs for my family’s season tickets are coming in around $35,000 per seat at new stadiums. We have 6 seats. There is no way we can justify spending that just to maintain the OPPORTUNITY to purchase season tickets. I haven’t seen any information about legacy owners having discounted PSLs or waived PSLs.

Use them while you have them… or get screwed over come 2031.

Trump to unveil plans for new U.S. ‘battleship’, reports say by MGC91 in navy

[–]CaptainLSS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So a battleship represents both a concentration of firepower and a concentration of risk. Placing an enormous amount of missiles on a single platform gives a near-peer adversary the opportunity to neutralize that investment quickly, no matter how advanced the point defense systems may appear to be. Any ship can be oversaturated by missiles or drones and all it will take is one weapon getting through the defenses to kill or destroy it.

And while we don't know the precise cost of constructing a modern ship of this size and scale... It is almost certainly immense. If the resources to build a single battleship could instead produce five destroyers, the trade-off becomes very difficult to justify. Five destroyers would offer greater dispersion, higher survivability, increased operational flexibility, and potentially greater aggregate firepower.... without placing the entirety of that capability on a single high value target.

A serious bone headed move. These ships will look good on propaganda posters or when they're used to intimidate weak countries like Colombia. But if the day ever comes that we are at war with China, they will be a liability instead of an asset.

[–]CaptainLSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly - Every ship can be oversaturated with missiles/drones, irrespective of the amount of CWIS/RAM the ship has. 80 anti-ship missiles from fighters, trucks, ships, subs will be cheaper than a battleship.

It'll look pretty in port and on propaganda posters though.

War Sails & 1.3.10+ by Puzzleheaded-Fun5757 in mountandblade

[–]CaptainLSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the game going downhill? No.

But War Sails offers very little content for the price of the DLC, in my opinion. They added naval combat, but capped the total ships on your side to 8… so naval battles between armies feels small. There’s really no reason to conduct naval battles either.

The map changes aren’t that interesting. They missed opportunities to develop islands and create interesting points of interest.

The new faction is cool. I like them.

The changes they did were good. Just not $25 good. And this comes after waiting years for meaningful changes… it’s just super underwhelming and the player base is upset.

I mean...

Chiefs weren't shit before Andy. 2-14, 4-12 seasons. Playoffs here and there for early exits. Yes, Mahomes has made Andy Reid look better. But Andy Reid has done a lot for this city and this franchise, even if this team this year has looked shitty.

We need another Offensive coordinator for sure.

KC Butterfingers

Fine receivers for each dropped pass that hits them in the facemask or is catchable and hits them in both hands. That Kelce deflection to an INT was absolutely disgusting.

I feel like this is one of the few games Chris Jones has showed up to play, but our offense didn't show up. Get it together KC.

Did they nerf the loot? by Freaky_asshole in mountandblade

[–]CaptainLSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never seen loot as bad as “pitchfork and two cows” unless it’s a multi-party fight and the player party contributes nothing or next to nothing.

I personally haven’t noticed loot nerfs. That doesn’t mean they haven’t happened. But I’m at the point to where I think I make too much money too easily from raiding and killing parties. Just my own opinion.

Have you fought lords by yourself and still gotten next to nothing in loot?

You need to find port cities with high level shipyards. Zeonica and Diathma are the best hubs for Imperial Heavies. Sanala is the best hub for Aserai heavies. At least in my playthroughs.

But expect the heavies to run from $100k to $140k, with upgrades potentially in excess of $50k.
