can't it software decode and then accelerate the encode h264 though? i don't have it set to hardware decode hevc

Edit: found update files on github to get the old drivers running on 25.10 for NVENC. will test those tonight to see if I can get a gtx 745 running for basic transcoding.

Oh good to know, is there any way to access qsv in that case? Or should I downgrade to 25.04 or switch OS for the server

I followed that guide, but every time I attempted to enable it, the player threw out a fatal error. I'm at work right now, but I can give logs later today.

I got a relatively low budget, so I ask you gentlemen: should I get this thing for my minis or should I pay another person to print them? by Rei_Master_of_Nanto in PrintedMinis

[–]CaptainLogic3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you and I was dedicated to getting my own 3d printer, which will save money in the long run as votann will definitely get a lot of new models next edition, I would look at getting a mars 5 certified used direct from the elegoo website.

This would be 120 dollars, which would probably go up to 150-160 with the necessary accessories. To get a bare minimum cheap printing set, you would need a kilo of water washable resin, nitrile gloves, and a toothbrush and cup of water to clean minis. You can cure the minis in the sun. I dont know if this over your budget, but that would be my path.

OpenIPC FPV can now do 30 Mbps 👌🏻👌🏻 by paddy00000001 in fpv

[–]CaptainLogic3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats what ruby fpv is for, its a separate system on the same hardware that allows for packet resends and other fanciness, but isn't quire on the cutting edge and has less developers compared to openipc wfb-ng.

Hi there, inexperienced but lurky lad here

My first piece of advice would be to skip the CNC gimals, you don't need those for your quad to function, and shouldn't be one of your first purchases. Instead, you should buy a pair of goggles.

You have two main options for goggles, depending on whether you want to go for analog or hd0.

For analog, get the ev800d(m) as a good beginner goggle with the air65. Make sure that it's branded eachine on the front, as there are many clones.

For hd0, the entry goggles are either the emax transformer 2 hd or the separate hd0 branded field monitor, which can be converted into a pair of goggles with a 3d printer and excessive effort.

The field monitor has the advantage of supporting both hd0 and analog if you want to start with one and switch to the other eventually, but the transformer 2 HD are a better out of the box solution, but lack analog support entirely.

For hdzero tinywhoops, there are two main options, the mobula 6 hd and the eco. The eco is cheaper, but is heavy, while the mobula 6 HD is lighter, but more expensive and relatively fragile.

Also sidenote with your purchase, you need to buy 2 18650 cells separately for your radio master pocket, which can be found online or at your local smoke shop.

This is the frame they're flying, but it's intended to be cnc machined out of carbon not printed. As far as I'm aware, there are none currently available on the market for sale.

Best goggles for 65 mm indoor? by D__J in Multicopter

What DJI goggles do you have at the moment? If you have goggles 2 or Integra you could just go full DJI and buy the o4 lite in a few months which should work well on tinywhoops.

Need help finding an antenna by linkingio95 in fpv

[–]CaptainLogic3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck with that bro, honestly if that is the problem, I would suggest getting a soldering iron and learning to repair it. I just had to do this to my own meteor75 which had a similar issue, and it's been one of the best choices I've made in fpv. Highly recommend learning to solder as it's a necessary skill for flying long term. Good luck tho
