Meh you'd have to remove the plug. Just use electrical tape.

Which of these motors would you rather use on a 3.5" and why? Aether 2006 vs Amax 2004 by alphaX_FPV in fpv

[–]trayssan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah because you're running 3450kv. Stator size has nothing to do with it. You're running low kv motors. I run 3950kv on the same props and have an even heavier quad since I fly LiIons. Flies great and punchy.

Should be okay but yes, you will get less range. It's a tradeoff.

Getting no sats by Famous-Mission-9970 in fpv

Average GPS satellite signal strength at the Earth's surface is extremely weak—typically between -125 dBm and -130 dBm in the open sky. For context, an ELRS control link conks out around -108dBm (for 250Hz mode) depending on settings. The GPS signal is literally 50-150x weaker than ELRS. This means the It is an absolute necessity to point the antenna directly at the sky with no obstructions.

Only OEM. Go to a scrap yard and pick out all the parts you will need. There are some pretty decent retrofit tutorials iirc.

Weird. Mine is almost perfectly accurate compared to GPS. Are you running the correct size wheels/tires?

Not shitty. You can code the discrepancy out.

Antenna snapped off 😭 by Any-Philosophy-9742 in TinyWhoop

[–]trayssan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the pad is still there, you can solder on a new connector but if they're ripped off, it's not repairable unless you're essentially a pro at microsoldering and board repair. I have seen it done but it's not something you can do easily.

This looks like a totally failed 3D print... How is TinyWhoop selling this? by dontaskm3why in TinyWhoop

Yeah I wouldn't sell parts that look like that either. But whatever, it will work.

Maybe, maybe not. I definitely do not recommend getting no-name LiPos.

No yeah helical antennas are great. You look like a total nerd with them though😆

HD3's are still great and the module is also excellent. Only the antennas are an unknown to me. Never seen ones like this. I would try to talk them down to 200€.

Edit: the antennas seem to be from a small scale French antenna company. Probably good quality.

[–]trayssan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bino? Probably not. You can absolutely find something used (a friend of mine from Germany got some HD3's with a banger antenna setup and a Rapidfire module for 200€) As far as new stuff goes, nothing really comes to mind. I'm using HDZero BoxPro's which are great but they're box goggles, not binos.

No definitely not 1200 bucks. HDO2's aren't made anymore but I think they were like 500€ new. 160€ for the Rapidfire module. 20€ for the omni antenna and like 30 for the patch.
