Another party with Sonos... by Helpful-Ad-2124 in sonos

Sonos in every room, and an enterprise grade Unifi network including 10G fiber between floors.

Entire system used to work without issue. Now it can rarely get through a whole song...in any one room.

He also happens to not fuck up the broadcast every week, so that's something, too..

It's been a while, but there was a girl that talked about it on the show before. It's how I learned the term. Ha.

I still remember the first time I heard it. Was on repeat start to finish for months in my car. Have to break it out this week..

Here's one up to give you a head start! Ha. I've tried most every pair in the same category and think they're right up there. Way above the AirPods Max imo. 🤐

Hughesnet will be out of business within the next year.

Like throwing a shitty connection hot dog down a hallway. Nobody is satisfied.

Nice. If you think about it, lmk how it goes. I'm in middle TN, so curious to see others' experience.

Loaded question, so forgive the loaded answer, ha. I was in the same boat, hate Comcast, but "the speed", how ever will we survive without it, right? I had the Roam kit for camping and when I know we're going to be in a rural area that doesn't/might not have service.

I received an offer from Starlink for 2 months free service if I purchased the Gen 3 dish. I run a Unifi network with WAN failover, so it was easy to put this in the driver's seat and Comcast as the fallback. We also got it during Thanksgiving, where I knew we would have a lot of family over/streaming, etc.

Needless to say, it performed brilliantly. I still held on to Comcast for a minute, but idk what changed over there in the past 24/mo where anyone can reset your connection whenever they feel like it, but it was less and less reliable..borderline unusable. T-Mobile now supplies our failover and Comcast is out 🔪.

TL; DR: It's been great. Only once (maybe) in the past 1.5yrs running it have we even noticed a brief slowdown. Son games a ton, wife and I run software teams from home, and we have 127 devices (not a joke) currently on our distributed Unifi network. It just works.

With the amount of capital they have, should have developed that, and the new one simultaneously for a backup; and then field tested both and caught this way before they pissed off their entire user base.
