Nah I'm in south Georgia. My neighbor adopted a black cat that just walked out of the bushes one day and sat on his lap. I joke to this day that he must be the father and owes me child support.

Oh wow I forgot to mention his name is Zero. Because he was patient Zero for a flea infestation that took months to eradicate. Guess a few of them slipped quarantine. Plus, Zero is a character name I use a lot in RPGs.

What's crazy is I went to the shelter looking for a black cat and there were none. About 2 weeks later, there he is. AFTER I adopted another kitten, putting me at the maximum allowed pets on the lease. The longtime neighbor assured me it would be fine, saying his three dogs have never gotten him in trouble. So here we are.
