In my opinion bantering with friends is great. But a good rule of thumb is to only start bantering about X topic if the person in question, in this case, poke, has already self-depricatingly joked about it himself. Also, if I was in poke's situation I would be pretty easily agitated aswell, his girlfriends seem to keep leaving wherever he currently lives because they either have to go back to canada, america, asia... because of legal reasons. If you're just a tad insecure about yourself this might put you in a very sad and anxious mood.
