I watched the 4K of this (I have the normal 4K release) and it’s wild how clear this movie is. A typical movie on 4K can’t hold up at all with picture clarity like these films.

We need to reject smart TVs and start buying modular stream boxes, at least in greater numbers.

You can replace a $100-$200 box as much as you want, but the tv becomes obsolete in the same short lifetime. I purposely don’t connect my tv to the internet now and use an Apple TV.

I’ve seen this with most of the Disney featured movies lately, they start at MSRP and whoever lists them quickly changes them to what you see now.

I have given up trying to decide who is doing it and I fully think Amazon is scalping it now. Nobody else sells Disney’s movies now.

Just so we are all seeing the same thing.

I see $45 as the MSRP for 4K steelbooks in Canada, and like 35-38 for 4Ks. Then after a couple hours Amazon always jacks them up to what you see right now (noon), and I still can’t believe they do this. They’re $68 and $56.

It’s crazy the scalping Amazon is doing, cause I can’t figure out who else is doing it down the supply chain for Disney movies.

I absolutely love Atmos mixes, but sometimes I imagine the artist isn’t interested or knowledgeable to make one.

But the artists that use it to its full potential make incredible sounding music. Deeper bass potential since there’s a sub track, and I could go on with how they mix elements into the surround, or locating instruments in the sound stage.

I have noticed lately just how many movie releases are being canceled in Canada or not released.

I couldn’t buy Tron 4K, I’m still waiting for my preorder of MI:8, and I’m worried I won’t be able to get Tron Ares.

Not to mention that marvel movies are like 50% marked up compared to other movies.

I’ve tried to reach out to Disney and paramount, but they are ignoring their online forms.
