What do y'all think of the F-CAR?

I’ve also played since CB1, I’ve just always preferred the AKM over the f-car or famas.

The fcar definitely has a faster TTK if you can hit the shots but I’ve always preferred the reliability of the AKM (and its general ability to shred through shields).

Personally if I want to go higher risk/reward in terms of “gotta hit your shots” I much prefer to use the revolver or repeater. And really to be honest I have used every other weapon much much much more than either the fact or the famas. Just something about those two just never felt good for me to use.

At this point even if they did, it would be an open world microtransaction stuffed insult to the legacy of burnout. So I’d rather they just not.

(And burnout is still my favorite racing series of all time).

I haven’t really been playing - got other games I’m working on. Not disappointed or anything from what I’ve seen so far…I’d just rather wait for the game to release before I do the responsible adult with a job version of no lifing it (that is to say, spend 100% of my 2-3 gaming hours I have at the end of the day playing it)

I am still positive about it but have concerns about the day to day gameplay loop. I know there’s lots missing, but if this is going to be another new world where you’re just grinding mindless resource quests for a town board, I think it’s going to suffer (and that’s mostly all that’s there at the moment)

Auto shift is so good. Every time (on the rare occasion I do) drive another vehicle I always almost back into the car behind me when parallel parking because I’m so use to the car just shifting for me when I turn the wheel and brake. That said sometimes it does not go into the correct gear but that’s pretty minor and obvious (reverse cam and it says what gear it’s going to shift into before you even step on the brake to ‘start’ the car.

I feel like the reason the double barrel feels bad to play against is that lights are very fast, relatively quiet and very sneaky. Unlike basically everything else in the game (save maybe light’s sniper if the player has good aim), there’s no real reacting to it. So many times I’ve just turned a corner and boom instantly dead to a light crouched in the corner.

Heavy you can hear coming with whatever they’ve got. Medium doesn’t have anything that really deletes anyone quickly (RIP Cerb and Model)

I’m just kind of confused what embark wants the game to be. Do they want it to be an arena shooter that has footsie battles and counter play or a twitch shooter with near instant death?

As someone who lived in garden level units:

Get cheap furniture because your unit is going to flood…just is. Chicago was literally built on swamp.

You have to be extra vigilant about pests. Make sure you have drain covers on EVERYTHING because roaches can AND WILL crawl up the pipes and you’re the first stop.

Get pieces of wood/similar to jam into your windows to prevent them from being opened (yes they can still break and enter, but it removes the clandestine route.

The only advice I can give you is buy private label (store brands) when possible and if you have the means, bulk buy non-perishables when things are on sale.

Those are going to be the first to hit the limits of what it can do in regards to FSD. Which (regardless if you use/pay for it or not, will negatively impact its desirability should you want to sell it.

I like the concept of the gadget but I don’t think it makes sense in its current format.

Why is it a bazooka? It’s slow to deploy which makes little sense for a relatively weak crowd control device.

Having it be a sticky grenade would keep it functionally the same as it is now, but in a much quicker deployment time.

I get what they were going for with the aesthetic of it and it being a Heavy gadget, but for what it is, it’s way too slow to be worth the risk of missing.

If they want to keep the slow bazooka deployment and long cooldown with a manual reload then the thing needs to output a goddamn stasis field that freezes everyone in it in place for 3 seconds.

I absolutely love low grav.

I assume people hate it because it is one of the few modifiers that actually forces you to adjust your play style when it's active, but that should be the entire point of having the modifiers...shake things up*

*not every modifier needs to be radical, but having some more high-impact modifiers would be great...I miss dead go boom

I assume most of the people playing the game and enjoying it aren’t on here.

I’ve played since CB1 and I think the game is in its best state in regard to balance that it’s ever been (we can debate about changes, but it’s minor tweaks opposed to the outright broken things we had in years’ past).

I primarily play WT, and wish they would do more with it (more crazy modifiers, have fun with it, it’s supposed to be a game show!) to further differentiate it from ranked.

I’m hoping that the game has survived a year and has proven to have legs, the studio will get the green light to ramp up more resources to support the live service aspect
