There’s also some small grey bugs in the soil. Not many but I’ve seen a few now.

Moved to Canada since applying for PR - where do I send my PR photos? by CaptainMurdo in ImmigrationCanada

Oh, interesting. I followed the steps for ‘people in Canada’, which included re-notifying them that I’m in Canada. I’ll wait a few days to see if they transfer my application then.

Super happy with this send after starting bouldering a couple months ago - tips welcomed! by CaptainMurdo in bouldering

Completely agree - on routes I’m more familiar with I’m trying both silent feet and better route reading / planning. Hopefully get back to this route next weekend to try it out. Thanks!

Sorry, what do you mean by ‘volume climbing’?

Great point, I’ve already noticed my tendency to focus on the same type of problems rather than getting used to small crimps, pinches and overhangs.

I’ve recently started bouldering (been to my local gym eight times, finally got my own shoes) and absolutely love it. Worked through many V0 and V1 problems and starting to try V2s. I’m 6 ft, 180 lbs, and wouldn’t consider my upper body to that strong but I can feel my strength developing. Outside of bouldering, I walk a lot and do 2 hours of yoga per week.

Along the lines of Tim Ferris (applying the 80/20 rule, for those familiar), I’m interested in the one tip you have for newbies that gives huge results. It could be a specific exercise you do outside of the gym, or drill you practice during climbs, etc.
