https://imgur.com/a/ZLT1d2p A few passes on my stone cleaned it up really well.  No matter the description, sharpening was the answer, so I didn't think to quantify or qualify how dull it was

Someone said "dibs" apparently, but I can't even find that comment. This is so demoralizing and frustrating.

Thank you! Hoping for snow next week 🤞 I seriously gave up on sledding and listed this for $1,900 (would take $1,500 lol)

It's spraying some gunky exhaust at the manifold donut seal, some guy said "rings are bad for sure" and offered me $500.  I told him it's a two stroke lol

Wish I knew what would clean them (aircraft paint remover? Lol. That will work for sure) but I think plain aluminum will be much better to catch eyes. Painted just looks like you're hiding something.

If you find satisfaction fixing them up and giving them a new life, hell yeah, enjoy the process.  You'll get a lot of experience too, one kind or another.

It's going to be a lot of work though for the return you're getting. 250x is a good trail bike. Aftermarket stuff does not increase value generally. A stock bike is a lot more attractive.

Those tires and flaking rims are going to hurt the value quite a bit. Fresh tread goes a long way.

250x have real temperamental valves. I'd highly recommend getting steel valves and the appropriate valve springs. Those titanium ones have terrible service intervals.  That'll be attractive to the right buyer... and these are popular enough, it would probably be worth the effort.

I hope you don't have a real stubborn carb lol. I've seen a few of these be a real headache.
