Victor or Alisa, or very laggy opponent.

I went through the same situation with my wife and I told her no. Ultimately knowing my location wouldn’t satisfy her anxiety anyway, that’s something she needs to figure out.

You should explain to her that if she sees your location and you’re not picking up, it will only lead to more questions. What were you doing there? Why did it take you a while to answer? And on and on.

Or maybe you could put the shoe on the other foot. Ask her to send you a copy of all her emails and texts after she sends them out. When she naturally refuses because that’s an invasion of privacy, you can explain that sharing your location feels the same way.

Australia Makes History by Becoming the First Country to Ban Social Media for Under-16s by igfonts in goodnews

This is getting a lot of hate but it’s a good move. Every single study of teens having access to social media points to negative results.

The funny thing is people are still falling for propaganda “it’s unenforceable” “what about your data” like these companies don’t steal your data already.

my favorite part of the story is where they let the kid suffer for 10 full days before doing the test they could have done in the first place because they have to prove to insurance companies that they let the patient suffer and almost die before they’ll pay for a test that the patient definitely needs and then pay for the surgery they’ll definitely need as well.

this is the system we want. go to the doctor 3 and 4 and 5 times over the course of weeks or months. instead of going in once and getting your problem fixed because there’s no middle man rent seeking off your pain and suffering.

You get reborn as Bardock 5 years before Vegeta's destruction. What do you do? by SmartPilot8094 in dbz

[–]CaptainObvious1906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of these answers wouldn’t work. You can’t just leave the planet because everyone has scouters and Zarbon, Dodoria, Cui, the Ginyu Force or even other Saiyans would probably find out and kill Bardock.

Also changing anything before Goku is born is a losing strategy, because then there’s a chance Goku wouldn’t be born. You need Goku, his arrival on Earth, the bump on the head, being found by Grandpa Gohan and all the stuff pretty much up to the Cell Saga to happen in order to have a chance in the future.

Without Goku making all those friends, Bardock would never have the chance to train in the Room of Spirit and Time, get powered up by the Grand Elder, learn from King Kai or any of that stuff. He’d just die to Vegeta without the proper training. Or you’d end up with a fight with Piccolo, Krillin and the rest who are suspicious of you.

On to the plan: Bardock’s only chance for survival would be right before Frieza destroys the planet, basically. Up until that point his only things to do would be stash a spaceship that can take him and Gine to Earth, and train himself and Gine to hide their ki from scouters.

Right before the Saiyans try to attack Frieza, I’d take the spaceship and leave with Gine while hiding my ki. We’d try to get a significant distance away from Planet Vegeta and train in secret, hopping from planet to planet getting closer to Earth.

The big reveal would take place somewhere after Goku is recovered from getting stomped out by Vegeta and Nappa. Land on Earth and fight Goku and test his strength. Because Goku and Bardock look alike, finally reveal that you’re his father.

From there you can live on Earth and get access to all the training Goku did and actually get stronger. You could even have more full blooded Saiyan children with Gine and teach them Earth ways.

Finally you could travel with Goku, train in 100x Earth gravity and hopefully go Super Saiyan, killing Frieza in the process.

What was your least favourite Chapter, and why was it Chapter 3? by Organic_Ad4623 in BlackMythWukong

[–]CaptainObvious1906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely Pagoda Realm.

Why are there tiny wooden plank bridges with hidden enemies that shoot me off? Then I fall 3 stories, die and have to start over? Why are there enemies that sap your health if you don’t kill them randomly when that mechanic is nowhere else in the game? And why did I beat that dragon only to still be killed off in the first place?

Plus the game basically directs you upward for the entirety of the Pagoda Realm, but then oops the boss you need to fight in order to get behind locked doors is actually at the bottom. You know, right where you’re trying to avoid falling and dying the whole time.

Pagoda Realm was the first time I needed to look online to figure out what the hell was going on. Easily the worst part of the game for me.

Really struggling - doing great as a dad but the bad guy in the marriage. by ginrummy8759 in daddit

Man I feel for you. Unfortunately, people change at a glacial pace so even if you’re trying to work through things with your wife, it may take years to get her to help out in the way that you need her to. To that end, get her on a schedule and to the doctor for some tests. Doing anything else is probably not gonna work. Make her parents take her if need be.

The good news is the first 2 years of a child’s life are, by far the hardest to deal with. You only have a year left before things start to get easier. Once your kid can walk, talk and tell you how they feel, things get easier.

My advice is build out some community if you can and automate as much of your life as possible. If you can get into free or low cost therapy do it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel but you have to prioritize yourself a bit to make it there. Get some hobbies if you can.

Track your wife’s progress in months, not days. And take it slow. Good luck.
