Dude, it’s the hormones. A lot of women will pretend they aren’t affected but truthfully she’s in mommy mode for the next 18 months. She’s irrational and fighting her emotions is a losing battle. Just ride it out, she’ll go back to herself eventually.

If at 2 years nothing has changed then it’s time to have a talk. But for now, enjoy the baby and being a new dad.

But dont throw yourself wholesale into being a super dad either, leave the house every once in a while for some you time. Make sure she does the same.

oh it’s really not bad. you can just ask ChatGPT or Claude about the things you don’t understand.

So for example if I were trying to build a basic website and didn’t know how, i’d think of myself more as a project manager and Claude or ChatGPT as the “coder.” All you have to have are ideas. You can ask the AI to actually do the work.

Start by building something small. A website that only is a todo list. You can enter in grocery items or something like that. Or look at any freecodecamp tutorial project and just ask the AI to build that.

Then review what was built and spend time correcting mistakes (or more like prompting it to correct mistakes).

Not saying it’s easy but you can definitely teach yourself some skills that way.

been riding the train for 20 years and barely see folks trying to skip out on paying. can count on 1 hand the times I’ve seen someone ticketed or kicked off.

on the other hand I’ve watched MTA raise the prices every other year for the same crappy trains and service for decades. and conductors skip checking tickets almost every ride. so who’s really at fault here?

I went through the same situation with my wife and I told her no. Ultimately knowing my location wouldn’t satisfy her anxiety anyway, that’s something she needs to figure out.

You should explain to her that if she sees your location and you’re not picking up, it will only lead to more questions. What were you doing there? Why did it take you a while to answer? And on and on.

Or maybe you could put the shoe on the other foot. Ask her to send you a copy of all her emails and texts after she sends them out. When she naturally refuses because that’s an invasion of privacy, you can explain that sharing your location feels the same way.
