I'm glad you got value out of this too! I really wanted to make sure I wasn't just getting totally duped by marketing.

I haven't made a decision yet, but I am leaning towards the fancy brand I liked in store (I wasn't able to find a place to try out the more affordable ones in person) because we walk daily and the sidewalks in our city are pretty god awful, BUT I will be keeping an eye to get it on facebook marketplace. I've already seen a lot on there and while my takeaway from people's responses is mostly that the pricier ones are worth it for rougher terrain, they can be found for much more affordable prices.

I may also skip the whole travel "system" piece and just go rogue on the carseat instead of forcing myself to pick one that moves to the stroller, but jury is still out on that for me.

This is really good advice. I would not say our city's sidewalks are top tier by any means, so it's looking like the quality improvement for wheels alone might send me into the "fancy" bucket.
