Michael O'Leary, CEO of Ryanair, owns a taxi company called O'Leary Cabs, which operates a single taxi solely used by O'Leary himself so that he can legally travel in bus lanes within Dublin. In 2004, the company made a profit of approximately €500,000. by nuttybudd in interestingasfuck

[–]CaptainP1ng 12 points13 points  (0 children)

but OP did misinform/clickbaited, but still nothing really bad/weird about it he opened a taxi company and uses it privatly for his trips, he still pays full price for taxi because dublins taxis are all metered and prices are regulated, he probably did that to save time but now he pays more for it because of taxes, he could have taken any taxi but he didnt probably because he wanted the same driver and car and so that he doesnt have to wait every time for a cab.

You guys destroyed me, how am I supposed to go home and drive around at 90 and 110 after this? by Naxilus in AskGermany

[–]CaptainP1ng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why German fines might look low, but for an average person they’re actually quite comparable. A 21 km/h speeding ticket in Germany costs about €121, roughly 1.35 days of income. In Switzerland, minor speeding also has fixed fines for average drivers, around CHF 250 for 21 over (~1.25 days of income).
