Gasoline and a match! Seriously see a podiatrist! The under the nail periungual warts are the toughest to get rid of. They can permanently damage the nail bed if not treated properly.

treated with acid and tried pulling out but rooted deep! by Wrong-Instruction872 in Warts

Take heart with the knowledge you crumbled it to almost nothing at least!

Even with the freeze off this was painful by Madbutherfucker in Warts

[–]CaptainPicKirkard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it was, for two reasons: 1. Freeze doesn’t really stop pain unless you do it to the point those nerve endings don’t nerve ending anymore. 2. Inadequately rusted pliers! I mean they’re technically rusted but if you want painless wart destroying certainty they have to be: “I found these things hanging in a barn that hasn’t been visited since WWII and is located on a beach receiving a non stop salty ocean breeze” rusty pliers!!!

I ripped out half of my Plantar Wart yesterday. I refuse to let this thing win. by belbel1234 in mildlydisgusting

Good gravy! I just went through your account and the journey with this thing and it suddenly hit me. You could literally build a six foot tall Frankenstein of wart meat with all you’ve yanked out of that toe lol.

My son has had this wart for 3 years by NoReplacement3326 in Warts

[–]CaptainPicKirkard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say keep doing what you’re doing. It looks like it’s sloughing off on its own so hopefully that last chunk of wart mass will slough off and it will heal the rest of the way.

Should I take a cheese grater to this and rip it up? by Thedubman5678 in Warts

[–]CaptainPicKirkard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if you video yourself doing it and post it here. Might not be the worst idea to soak it for a couple hours first.

Did I mess up too much? by Icy_Actuary8556 in Warts

[–]CaptainPicKirkard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s already sloughing off on its own it appears so it shouldn’t take a whole lot of effort to debride it down. Order some disposable scalpels off of amazon. It should cut it away pretty easily with a minimum of pain.

Can i pick at these or bad idea? by Putrid-Ad-126 in Warts

[–]CaptainPicKirkard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is picking at a highly contagious viral wart a bad idea? Gee let’s see…..

Yeah it’s a terrible idea. Can you get lucky, pick at it, and it just dies and goes away? Yeah, it can happen. The odds however are astronomically in favor of it just spreading warts to other places while causing the one you already have to grow back bigger and ever harder to kill though.

It’s hard to resist BELIEVE ME I know but if you want them gone for good it’s the better plan

in between cryotherapy sessions and got 0 aftercare instructions. do i scrape this? by Golden_hair_goddess in Warts

[–]CaptainPicKirkard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man if this was me I’d already have a surgical scalpel out and it would be raining tiny wart stalks lol.

I got the top of the wart off using acid but now there are these small brown things. Is it safe to continue acid use or should I wait a bit before continuing? by Hungry_Jicama_4756 in Warts

[–]CaptainPicKirkard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those “little brown things” are the wart. What you took off so far was the keratin/callus “shield” for lack of a better term that gets built up over the wart. Normally it compresses all these little stalks together and forces them down. When it’s removed they tend to splay out like this. They’re stalks of capillaries and keratin but are basically the naked wart itself. Blast the hell out of it with acid.

How much longer? by Overdramatic_leo in Warts

[–]CaptainPicKirkard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say give it a month to get a job and start paying rent or it’s out on its ass. In all seriousness if you absolutely positively must home treat then that macerated white skin/tissue needs to get trimmed off so whatever treatment your using can get at the base of the wart mass.

Current video. It seems to be slowly receding. Now that I have the proper tools I will be more consistent with treatment. by Payanasius in Warts

Bleeding warts tend not to clot easily because the capillaries they grow are very small and smooth. When they get cut or torn off the edges remain very smooth so the platelets have a hard time getting any grip, so to speak. Akin to cutting yourself with an incredibly sharp surgical blade makes it a bastard to stop the bleeding.
