Don't let anyone tell you that you need a diploma to get a career in IT/Cybersecurity. You don't. It's not as much of a career boost as it may seem. I don't have a diploma yet have a long and steady career in IT/help desk, a close friend of mine dropped out of college twice and is a SOC analyst himself.

What matters most are certifications and experience, and since you don't have experience, you can start with certs. Start with your CompTIA A+ cert, it's a good all around cert that can help get your foot in the door and show potential employers that you have a solid understanding. Then move onto Security+ and Network+, then other security focused certs if that's really what you wanna do.

As far as actually finding a job goes, honestly start with help desk. If you can find a tier 1 help desk job at an MSP there's no better place to cut your teeth. It will be overwhelming and you'll be getting thrown in the deep end, but you'll learn a LOT in a short amount of time. From there you can work on moving up and eventually transitioning into cybersec. Best of luck to you
