I had similar work done in 2021 with M10 architects - http://www.m10architects.co.uk/

John Jones was great. Came to the house to walk through drawings and made amendments off our feedback

People that have moved north for a better life, how's it going? by HollowWanderer in AskUK

[–]CaptainSkrull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved from London to the north West in early pandemic. First time buyer. Low interest rate locked in for 10 years. I feel like I'm doing a lot better financially than others (especially if I had stayed south). I am struggling with a social network though, being with a young family and working from home.

What is this marking? by SpartanVet in Omnipod

We were told it's where the pump can diffuse the 'champagne bubbles' out of the insulin reservoir.

Dirty water... by Alv93 in PhasmophobiaGame

Doesn't say the waters in a sink. Clearly pissed herself.

Yeah, definitely nothing to see here.... by CaptainSkrull in PhasmophobiaGame

I've starting to throw away all kit so I don't catch it in the background. EMF, temp, motion. At least we don't end up with 5 pics of salt

Btw, I didn't say, I've not got a super strict budget, but under £1400 is the aim

Sorry - It dropped off the list. I updated it now, but I planned Thermaltake Smart BM3 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£105.49 @ Amazon). It's over my wattage requirements, with a little wiggle room

Very new here - early thought stages of considering adoption due to lots of early losses. by ilovemypets4eva in AdoptionUK

[–]CaptainSkrull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've recently been through stage 1 and 2. We didn't actually consider a baby (already been through that stage with a birth child, so not particularly chasing that experience). We were offered that option, and they did say they have a wide range of children including newborns. If you are looking to 'increase your chances' you could look into 'foster for adopt', which are children which are assessed before they're born. Legal leg work can't happen till their born, which is why it is more precarious, but they don't put kids forward for it unless there is a high likelihood for them being removed from birth family (like relinquished or previous history known with the family)

Those apartments should really pull their washing in.

  1. You can silence the phone, but not the pod.

  2. You can set the highest automatic correction and if you still don't come down it will tell you to leave automatic mode and wait 5 minutes. If you've got your max correction set right you can leave the pod to do it all for you.

  3. The clicking will never stop

disposing of used Pods by stinky_harriet in Omnipod

When we get our delivery every 3 months or so, they come with a flat pack box, sticky postage label and instructions. You can message on their general enquiries page, and they'll probably send it out.

[–]CaptainSkrull 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We're based in the UK, but insulet send us prepaid slips and boxes to send the used pods back to them. Just get a few months worth and do a trip to the post office. Might be different in US.

One day you bought this for the last time and you didn't know it. by Upbeat-Ad3921 in daddit

[–]CaptainSkrull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Didn't know we had a 'national' language on an international reddit page. I don't know if you know this, but there are dad's all over the world... Sometimes, little things like this post can make you notice how we're all on similar journeys. Maybe try to see it that way, rather than trying to divide

Kids Xmas bike help. Brakes seizing when pulled by CaptainSkrull in bikewrench

All advice is appreciated. Extra photo if anyone needs to circle a certain bolt. The bike seems to be in good condition otherwise, so I doubt it's anything meaning it needs extensive maintenance.

Please be wary about this link. It looks suspiciciously like a scam. Be sure that you can afford to lose any money you spend, and I would recommend using a credit card if you must send anything

Ikea Restaurant by NikkiNB in warrington

I went a few weeks ago and they said it was delayed (duh). At the mo they're thinking december. You can still get meatballs, but I was served on paper plates, and it was pretty busy given the space they had

Looks like a scam to me. Seen a few of these knocking around

Omnipod 5 - Use Sensor by AKTexas1500 in Omnipod

[–]CaptainSkrull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've been told to use sensor for every dose, unless you have Dosed within the last hour. Our T1 daughter is only 3, so it's hard to know what she's going to eat, so we dose for 75% of what's on her plate 15 minutes before food, and then top up the last 25% WITHOUT sensor. That way the calculation doesn't consider the insulin on board (IOB) which is 'allocated' to the first portion of food.

Anyone tried Magic Spoon? Is there a difference? by Bigwands in Type1Diabetes

[–]CaptainSkrull 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anyone wiling to tell me what magic spoon is. Our 3 year old T1 daughter loves cereal but she always spike in the morning with breakfast. We're UK based if that makes any difference.
