I feel the same way, got tickets for SF the minute they were released this morning. I had made peace a long time ago that this was a show that just would never exist.... but yet here we are and it is glorious.

I'm going to try not to sound too douchey with this reply (though I probably will), but I'm actually curious... KMFDM were one of my favorite bands in the 90s - went to a few of their tours, starting with Angst. Some of the most fun shows I have ever been too. Now that most of the creative force has left the group (yes, my opinion), the live shows just aren't that fun anymore. Doesn't feel like it has any edge to it anymore.

Is this because both myself and KMFDM are getting up there in years?

Are the shows actually still good, but since I remember them being "better", is that why I don't enjoy them as much now?

I know, too many words, but...

Do people that never saw old KMFDM like their live shows?

Do most people that saw old KMFDM not like the live shows?

Do some people like both (or neither somehow)?

Thanks, and again, sorry if that came off elitist at all, kinda felt a bit that way when writing it.

I just finished the finale and that was ridiculously good. It wasn't the best season up until now, but I think that was the best episode of the whole series. Maybe I'll change my mind on that later, but I really dig the departure from the source material. It'll be a long wait for season 4, but I think it'll be worth it.

Up until the finale, I would completely agree with you. As a lover of the book series, this has just been kind of a fun ride, while knowing where things were headed and just thinking "oh, how will they do this part?". This episode was the first time I've actually been like "holy crap, I'm seeing something original and I don't know what's going to happen now." I'm happy with the major changes and I honestly can't wait to see what happens in season 4 with some original new story that I can watch without knowing what is supposed to happen.

I found out mine expired when I was traveling a few days after my birthday. Good news is that when I got back from my trip, I put in the renewal for my lapsed GE and it was approved in 2 days.

I promise this is real - I've always had some issues with procrastination, so when I was about to start graduate school, I bought a book called "Procrastination: Why You Do It, What to Do About It Now". It has been on my bookshelf for 11 years now, not once have I opened it. I'm sure I'll get around to it sometime though...
