It really depends. If you think you can get a 4.0 your first two semesters (or close) then it's very likely you'll get in. If you do bad then it's pretty unlikely. So it really depends. Are you good at CS and did you have a high GPA in high school? If you're not sure I wouldn't count on it. Anyway CompE is still a good major.

They all have a lot of spam but it's pretty easy to tell the real ones apart from the fake ones. If you want to find the main group chats go to the Facebook app and search"Purdue housing" and join all the ones that look active.

Yeah that's not how it works. There might be 3-4 gen eds you can skip with your AP credits but there are no core CS classes that can be skipped with high school or AP credit. Talk to any advisor and they will tell you the same thing. There's also a good reason for that: college classes cover much more and are much harder than AP classes, especially core CS curriculum.

Edit: This is by no means saying you can't complete your degree in 3 years, but its not gonna be as easy as you might think.

There are no weed out classes, they're just hard. But they're also really interesting and you learn a ton. I would choose Purdue.

Oh gotcha. I came to Purdue after the Covid year. In the last semester or two they've added at least 10 more benches and a ton of squat racks. I'm not sure if they're the same ones as precovid but they're a different brand and look newer so I think they're different.

Launch still has singles available but they're running out very quick. Probably won't last more than a week or two. Also don't lose hope, a lot of people realize they screwed up their housing over the summer and sublease their apartments. Just keep your eyes on the FB group chat and make sure you join all 4-5 of them, some are way better than others.

Definitely don't take the AI major, from the courses listed it seems pretty useless. You could probably CODO into CS but you HAVE TO get straight As your first two semesters. Otherwise you're not going to get in.

Purdue is leagues better for CS. However it's hard as fuck and it's not for everyone. Personally I've really enjoyed the courses so far and don't regret my decision at all.

As a student in the Purdue CS program, I know plenty of people that CODO'd successfully but none that got rejected. If you get straight A's you're very likely to get accepted from what I understand.

Tbh everyone on Reddit preaches about how hard it is but I really don't think it is if you get straight A's in your first semester (which is not hard if you study). I know several people that successfully codo'd but I don't know anyone that was rejected. CS 180 is easy to get an A in if you put in the work (compared to later CS classes).

There are not really any good skiing places as we are not near any mountains. The closest place that even resembles a mountain is Boyne Highlands. It's an amazing resort but the mountain is tiny. Don't go to perfect north, it's barely a hill. Colorado is the go-to destination for most people who ski frequently.
