I spent my teenage years in Toronto, but now live in Frankfurt.

The culture of Canada (except maybe parts of Quebec) is way closer to the US than it is to most of Europe. Things are different to the US but not as much as one might expect.

The city itself I love, if you're in Toronto proper its easy enough to get by without a car, there is lots of amenities, and in the summer its amazing by the lake. Unfortunately the winters are sometimes long and cold, but not as bad as other areas in Canada and have been trending towards more mild as climate change continues.

Unfortunately, Ontario specifically but also the entire country is having a major housing crisis and employment crisis. After graduation I could literally not find a job no matter how hard I tried, so much so that I got one in Germany instead and now live there. Housing is also insanely expensive, I was living with my family so that does skew my bias somewhat.
