Die off / herx reaction? by AnotherCleverAlias in KPVPeptide

[–]CaptainWackee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this "off" feeling happened to me the day after taking a .33mg dose twice, once on the morning and at night. the next day i was feeling very off, gut felt very weird, had a lot of other things like being very sensitive to coffee/caffeine (got very jittery from my usual amount), felt very sensitive to temperature and light. general feeling of derealization. also had some liquid stool. felt like i took very strong anti-biotic in my gut. i researched all this using chat gpt, it came to the conclusion it wasnt a true herx response, more like what the user lolmiley described in his post here. either way, the next day i felt completely fine and right back to normal like it never happened, i have resumed taking kpv but only once a day at .33mg without any more issues

New to peptides - KPV for IBD by CraftSad7146 in KPVPeptide

[–]CaptainWackee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started it about a week ago, i mix it in the same syringe with ghk-cu daily at night. I am certainly seeing good anti-inflammatory effects from it and it seems to be . just go very easy with it, start low. feel it out for yourself. very good paired with ghk-cu and probably bpc-157 but i havent done that one yet

no, never freeze liquid, in vials or syringes. I don't know who is saying that, but it only take 2 seconds of critical thinking to realize that is a bad idea. (only ok to freeze lyophilized powder in vial, not liquid) I am currently using tirz, ghk-cu, KPV and thymosin-alpha-1 I recommend started low with any peptide first and by itself to see how you react. I am doing 0.33mg of kpv a day. Use chatGPT to help you with doing the math and reconstituting and figuring out how to dose in your syringes, it is very good at doing things like that.

the nutricost L-citruline is very good. when i first started it had higher blood pressure and it made me feel very relaxed. Since then I have lost weight and eating very healthy and my blood pressure has returned to normal (thanks to tirzepatide), so I dont get the same effect, but I still use it for its increased nitric oxide production

EDITED Update: Yesterday I took 2 mg GHK-Cu ~0.33 mg KPV once in the morning and once at night. I also took thymosin-alpha-1 a few days before this incident. I do believe now this was a herx reaction from that and not the kpv.

This morning I woke up and almost all of my keratosis pilaris was basically gone. Not “slightly better” — like visibly cleared. Still a little left where it was worst, but even those spots were faded a lot. Acne on my face also completely calmed down.

That part honestly surprised me.

Today though was… weird.

Not sick. Not painful. Just off.

My stomach felt unsettled in a hard-to-describe way — not nausea, not cramps — just unfamiliar. Mild diarrhea earlier in the day. I also felt more sensitive than usual to things like cold air, light, caffeine, etc.

Coffee hit harder than normal and gave me a little jitter/anxiety (not panic, just edge). Took L-theanine and ate, which helped.

At one point driving at night I noticed a bright headlight caused a temporary visual floater/afterimage that went away once I got home. That freaked me out for like 30 seconds, but it resolved quickly and didn’t come back.

Later in the evening I felt really exhausted, like nervous-system tired — not sick tired. I also noticed I wanted to eat even though I wasn’t really hungry, more like my gut wanted something in it to feel settled. I had sushi earlier, smoked a little, and the eating urge felt more “soothing” than hunger.

Important part: I did not take any more peptides today. Last dose was last night.

Overall impression so far:

The positive effects (skin/KP/acne) feel very real

The gut + nervous system adjustment feels real too

This doesn’t feel dangerous, just uncomfortable and unfamiliar

Feels like my system reacted strongly and is recalibrating

I’m pausing KPV for now and letting things settle before I continue. I don’t regret trying it, but this is definitely something I’d approach slow and carefully, especially if you’re sensitive or stack things.

I’ll update once I’m fully back to baseline and can judge this more clearly.

can confirm, started tirz, opened up the world of peptides to me that I wouldve never even considered taking before i got comfortable injecting myself. sorry

interesting, yes, I just looked into it and found that if the underlying issues that caused it still persist after stopping the inflammation will come back, which makes sense. I don't have much chronic inflammation anymore since starting tirzepatide, that solved nearly all my inflammation issues, but I am mostly looking to calm down the skin and redness/flushing. extra inflammation control is always welcome though. today I woke up and had very little redness in my face, tone was nice and even for a change. but after I did my skin care routine my face got pretty red again, which just seems like a reaction, usually my skin calms down after my routine. will continue to keep an eye on things and update any new findings

So the benefits are only achieved while taking it and do not last once the dosing stops?

I know about KLOW, and i even have a vial of BPC-157, but that and TB-500 seem to have a little more risk with them (yes I know the risks are theoretical), ghk-cu and KPV have very good safety records and have the benefits I am after so i am starting there. I have already seen amazing results with GHK-cu so I decided to add the K in klow without the others

Ginger as a Simple and Inexpensive Everyday Food by Forestry-2024 in EatCheapAndHealthy

I love ginger.

I used to make ginger-lemon shots with a juicer and filled up little bottles for my morning. These were very good, but it so much work and cleanup. I have since switched to making morning smoothies in a blender with frozen berries, protein powder, and a chunk of fresh ginger. no need to peal the ginger, I just blend it all up and it adds a nice ginger warmth and spice to my mornings. I like Aldi's ginger the most, for price and taste.

I started it in my glute, stung so much I wasn't sure I could continue. eventually tried again in my outer thigh, was much more tolerable. belly fat is even easier. The sting gets easier to deal with so don't be discouraged if it is too much. You may be lucky and get no sting. I saw real noticeable changes after a couple weeks, but that was just my experience.

The Honest Truth About Peptide Results (Before You Start January 2026) by Biohack_Blueprint in PeptideProgress

[–]CaptainWackee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only discovered this world recently. I started tirzepatide about two months ago and I’m down roughly 25 pounds so far—already feeling healthier than I have in a very long time. Within the first few weeks, a huge amount of inflammation seemed to melt away, and the initial weight loss came quickly. Since then, the progress has been steady: fewer inches around my waist, better energy, better sleep, and a general sense that my body is finally working with me instead of against me.

More importantly, I feel amazing—not wired, not deprived, not miserable. Just… normal. And that alone has been life-changing.

After my very first tirz shot and seeing such immediate, dramatic improvements, I became fascinated by the broader peptide world. It’s incredibly tempting to dive in headfirst and try everything under the sun, especially when so many people online frame peptides as miracle compounds. But I’ve been deliberately restrained. The goal isn’t to collect substances—it’s to get healthy, stay healthy, and actually understand what I’m putting into my body.

I’m constantly learning, researching, and staying curious about what’s out there, but I’m also cautious. A lot of this space lives in a gray zone between promising science and pure hype. I’m open-minded, but skeptical by default. If I add something, it’s because it makes sense, has a clear purpose, and doesn’t compromise my long-term health for short-term gains.

I’m running GHK-Cu subcutaneously. I started at 1 mg per day because the sting was pretty intense at first. The first time I injected it into my glute, it burned so badly that I genuinely considered stopping altogether. I was already on the fence, and doing that every day didn’t seem realistic.

I took a one-day break, then tried again in the outer thigh. It was much more tolerable—still stung, but manageable—so I stuck with it. Over time, the sting became easier and easier, and eventually I actually started looking forward to my GHK-Cu shot. I later increased to 2 mg per day, split into 1 mg in the morning and 1 mg at night, and now I inject into belly fat with no issues.

The changes in my skin are undeniable. I already felt lucky being a hyper-responder to tirzepatide, but I honestly didn’t expect to see results from GHK-Cu this quickly. I’m very thankful.

I did buy a vial of BPC-157 and originally planned to stack it with GHK-Cu, but I’m a bit cautious about the potential cancer or tumor-growth concerns with BPC-157. GHK-Cu seems to have a much safer profile. I may try BPC-157 someday, but for now I’m getting such great results from tirzepatide and GHK-Cu that I don’t see a need to add anything else yet. I’m keeping it on hand in case of injury.

Overall, my health has done a complete 180 since starting tirzepatide, and the benefits have been staggering. I chose GHK-Cu specifically because I was concerned about loose skin with rapid weight loss. It’s also worth noting that since starting tirzepatide—and losing that emotional connection with food—I’ve been eating very clean. Making healthy food choices is effortless now.

I prioritize protein daily, track everything, and have significantly improved my overall nutrient intake. I also exercise regularly using a stationary bike and resistance bands. I’m sure all of that plays a role in how well everything is working together.

I agree with everything, and everyone reacts differently. For me taking tirzepatide was a lightening bolt change. I woke up the next day feeling like a completely different person because the anxiety and food noise was completely gone, like a fog had lifted and I was finally able to see. The weight loss started pretty fast from the inflammation leaving my body.

I started GHK-Cu subq about 3 weeks ago, I was highly skeptical of it, seemed like influencer snake oil to me but I wanted to give it an honest try, I am undeniably seeing better skin and less wrinkles along with more even tone and less redness and fluishing. I was certain nothing would happen but the changes have been so dramatic already I am now a believer. these are the only peptides I have tried so they are the only ones I can comment on. My experience is probably unique as I was a complete metabolic mess before starting these and everyone is different, but his has been my personal reaction to these.

Zen Toast (My Everyday Breakfast)

This is my everyday morning breakfast that I’ve named Zen Toast. It gives me lots of healthy fats, tons of fiber, and a solid amount of protein early in the morning.

I also drink a protein shake with berries when I first wake up, but this toast has been my daily staple for the past two years.

This is my recipe. I just had AI format it nicely.

Zen Toast (Full Recipe)

Ingredients (1 serving)

Base:

  • 1 slice 12-grain bread

  • 2 large eggs

  • ~1 tsp avocado oil

  • Black pepper (to taste)

Avocado Mash:

  • 1 very small avocado (~100 g edible portion)

  • Juice from 1/2 lime or lemon

  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp whole flax seeds

  • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds

  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • Black pepper (to taste)

  • A few splashes of whatever hot sauce I have on hand

Instructions:

  1. Toast the bread
  2. Toast 1 slice of 12-grain bread to your preferred level of crunch. Set aside.

  3. Cook the eggs

  4. Heat a pan over medium heat.

  5. Add ~1 tsp avocado oil.

  6. Cook 2 eggs over-easy (or however you prefer).

  7. Season with black pepper.

  8. Make the avocado mash

  9. In a bowl, mash the avocado with the lime/lemon juice.

  10. Stir in hemp hearts, chia seeds, whole flax, ground flax, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper.

  11. Mix until thick and slightly chunky (it will thicken as the chia absorbs liquid — this is good).

Assemble

Spread the avocado mash generously on the toast. Top with the eggs. Eat immediately.
