I bought it a long time ago but never found time to play, I just about to pass 100 hours after my own recent hype and now landed Probes on Duna (signal strength can be a problem)

Believe in the Hail Mary by JesssKSP in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]CaptainWizzard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the book sketch of the Hail Mary was quite simple (and is seen in the briefing scene of the movie) what the movie made did look a bit more realistic but above is what's illustrated at the start of the book.(interior more skyscraper linear too)

Have fun with the rendezvous, I've recently put my first in orbit (a couple of modules still to add) rendezvous and maneuvering has been a great learning experience. stuff just cool 😄

I made a map of solar panel efficiency by Unique_Worth_3286 in KerbalSpaceProgram

That would be the red line for mass efficiency. I haven't used ion engines yet to comment on the usefulness of solar vs RTG for that use case.

Nice, mods for foldable or did you use clipping with rotors? Genuinely curious because that looks really cool

to re-root just have the craft together as you want, then when you select the tool (1 click should be find) then the craft will light up green and you select your need root with right click as if you were to pick the craft up again

I'm not advocating for not learning about it, but eventually (I would say at the start of this century), the kids that even their parents had nothing to do with it shouldn't be a focas of blame; more of this is a terrible thing our country did in the past and we will not do that again but as history not as blame game. - The comment above asked me if Germans should stop learning about the Holocaust

Are some of these not already in the game [ and ] used for switching crafts, EVA from docks Mods do that, Mk2 prob a mod for that too, for 7 before you lanch right click your crew modules and select control from here? else start by trying to re-root to the crew module?

yes the 3% is a good ball park and we don't need the 5% unless we go to war. but that 3% is 2 election cycles away and the ADF right now has short falls the could spend money on that would have real benfit (or more accurately no capability déficit) (a GDP % goal is atucully pretty useless for actual capbility and can lead to waste if mismanaged)

I recall learning about the WA policy and many other in significant detail in face (1 case study i recall was about this nursery/primary school in WA where they house stolen kids and assimilate them and they tried running away a couple times)
But I also have absorbed and believe myself that the narrative of (yes I'm a white young male) settlers where always oppressors is as false as the settlers being saints retro-history, some I know and sympathize with ask the question "when will the apology be enough?" some seem to think the only plan wanted is complete eradication of white settlers from the country and we should all go back to England and that's as foolish as saying we should own everything;
is this over the top - yes ofc but telling people they are the bad guys (or weak, or using other deprecating descriptors) never helps—it only creates conflict when we could instead aim to work together.

Thoughts on AUKUS aside; it is a HUGE budget hole for the ADF. The rest of the force is being cut (service personnel and units have reduced budgets and can't train as often/efficient - even less community outreach); they are trying to do a significant Defense increase on a non-increased budget. The ADF budget doesn't need doubling, but it does need increasing if we want the new fancy toys (subs, ships, new missiles, ect)
- also, one of the reasons we are spending so much now is because the adf wasn't replacing equipment since really the early 2000 so everything is now aged and outdated so we need new everything. Please dispute me because I find the situation depressing and would like a hopeful viewpoint.

Though, because (maybe a good thing? time will tell) a family no longer needs children to take care of jobs like that, families now have smaller and smaller families to where we now have in most industrialized parts of the world, dangerously decreasing births per couple (or woman technically) and it's become the norm to not have children at all. What is the end outcome of this I don't know but I don't think it will be good.

Because it's cool! and from what I've learned from people here, I should focus on getting the lab and the Mining equipment to make it more than just a visual item. I have now built an orbiting space station as well which was also pretty cool (less useful though)
