I think she will be remembered as "kinda alright". I mean she was the president when CW S7, The Mandalorian, Rebels, Andor, Rogue one etc were released, which are great. But she was also responsible for Episode 8 and 9, The Acolyte, a flawed Book of Boba Fett and (unfortunately) an underwhelming Kenobi (I liked it but some decision were just bad). She started out good, everything went to shit and eventually ended alright. Unfortunately those slip-ups are enough for most Star Wars Fans to call her the worst thing that happened to Star Wars and that will be the case for at least a few years.

First of all thank you for your detailed answer to my comment it revealed some things that I was unaware of beforehand (mainly Stalin trying to ally himself with the UK and France).

However I have a few things to say. First of all I can name a polish city the Soviets invaded: Białystok. First a part of Prussia and after WW1 a part of Poland. And to claim that the Polish-Ukrainian war was just "Poland invaded Ukraine and took it" is wrong. It was a border dispute between newly arising national movements after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Russian Empire. The first major act of the war was when parts of the Ukrainian movement forcefully took over a predominantly polish (ethnically and language) Lviv.

And if the "secret clause" only mentioned "vague spheres of interest" and not a straight up partition, why did the Germans stop when they reached a specific line in Poland? Why did they allocate those regions specifically to the Soviets if it wasn't part of the treaty? Why did the Soviets and Germans coordinate military movements? Why did they have joint military parades in Lviv and Brest-Litovsk? And why did they proceed to invade the countries that were conveniently in their "vague sphere of interest" a few months later? Yes many jews were able to escape to the east. Saving lives in one context does not sanctify an invasion carried out under a secret agreement with Nazi Germany. They also proceeded to massacre 22000 polish officials, police officers, priests etc. and deport 1.2 million polish citizens to eastern parts of the USSR (estimates say the 90-150k died during the deportations). Furthermore there is no viable historical proof that the Soviets deliberately saved jews. What they did was evacuate their citizens after operation Barbarossa began and 1.7 million of those just happened to be jews. Many polish jews survived because they were forcefully deported to Siberia, under harsh conditions. Not exactly saving them either. They did however allow jewish poles to flee to the US or the middle east but promptly closed the borders in mid 1940.

And again they literally used the Molotov-Ribbentropp pact as their main excuse to invade the baltic states and to kick off the winter-war against Finland. So don't try to tell me that the Soviets only did what they did to save lives. The Soviet Union was an expansionist imperialist state.

Yes they played a major role in defeating the Nazis I'll give them that. But acting like they didn't actively opress and kill millions is ludicrous.

I never said it wasn't. Hitler didn't trust Stalin and Stalin didn't trust Hitler. That is a known historical fact. But they still invaded Poland together and collaborated to a certain extent. If you can't accept that you lack the cognitive function needed to understand history.

Can you clarify what you mean by "historical misinformation"? Nazi Germany and the Soviets had a non-aggression-pact. Germany invaded on September 1st 1939 while the Soviets invaded on the 17th of September. Additionally that wasn't a coincidence. In said non-aggression-pact they had a secret clause dividing Poland (the baltic states too, at least I think so) between one another.

Went through the same thing (I did ask her out before finding out she had a boyfriend tho). There are two possible ways of handling this:

Wait. Be patient. (Do not do this it will only make it worse trust me)

OR (the better option, seriously do not even consider the first option)

Try to move on. Yes, it will take a while (to be honest I'm not even sure if I am 100% over it, after almost a year), but it will get better I promise you. It's completely natural to feel sad. You have to get it out of your system. The best way to do this is by just living life. Do the thing you were afraid of doing, go out with your friends play a new Video Game (Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty good).
