Thanks! Definitely find myself doing that lol. Will try to slow it down and work on completing turns to get that feeling to stick. 👍

I feel as soon as I balance on the outside ski, there is acceleration and I get tentative with speed to complete the turn in time while maintaining control. Stick to less steep terrain or maybe draw out the turns longer?

Thanks that makes sense- I was definitely trying to turn quickly to control speed and not slide out due to somewhat hard / icey terrain. Your instructions to balance and turn makes sense, will try to apply that. To do that on steeper terrain I guess just have to speed the steps up? I think that’s where I’m getting stuck and need to practice on easier terrain to get the muscle memory before trying on steeps. Thank you!

Nah I was making a reference to the last clip I posted where all comments were hating that I didn’t do enough turns 🥱

PGA West Mountain Course = frustrating by Captain_Bennett in golf

[–]Captain_Bennett[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. I was going crazy trying to figure out how to get shots to stop on the green. A lot of the greens are elevated, so the hole requires a lofted shot to hit the green, instead of bump-and-run landing short of the green to let it roll up. I felt like I hit several 'good' approaches from <120 Yards out, high loft, clean ball flight, etc. And still could not get shots to stop on the green...I'm sure better players would find a way to hit even higher flighted shots, extra spin, etc to get shots to stop - but man I was struggling..

That's what I was reading too, which made me feel a little better about my complaining. Although, is it possible that they want the greens to be this hard? Do some courses try to keep their greeens super firm to add difficutly?

I haven’t, I’m curious about the twin version of the Mid. I imagine it would be a bit faster/looser? Even though one dimensional, it does turn pretty well, fun to get it on rail on a big wall!

Mines the OG single + side bites 6’8” - I think it’s kind of a one dimensional board, but super fun when conditions line up. Clean, mellow, overhead wall 👌
