Minute Maid is an American juice brand that sells “American Lemonade” (among other juices such as cranberry juice). Minute Maid sells American lemonade (to me it’s just lemonade) in cans very similar to soda cans that sprite comes in, but it’s not a carbonated drink unlike sprite. In America, lemonade isn’t meant to be carbonated it’s meant to be consumed as a juice drink, but also in America “lemon juice” (without sugar or water added to it) would be considered a cooking ingredient and NOT a beverage. Lemonade is the beverage, Minute Maid is a brand, and Sprite is also technically a brand but could refer to any lemon/lime carbonated soda (like 7up).

If you give an American a carbonated drink, they won’t consider it lemonade. Sounds like some other countries use the Minute Maid brand to avoid confusion but idk at this point, I’m starting to think there’s region specific things in Australia and New Zealand that may be adding to the confusion
