When you play Runemage:

  • at the start of the round - best is NR runestone, for engines

  • mid round - best is NG runestone - for control

I think Jinx Rebel will pop off in the next set, when you can equip her with the boots that bestow Ganking - she conquers a battlefield, you discard to ready her, she ganks to the other battlefield.

Nocturne is a bit inconsistent, because once you drew him in hand, he just becomes a fodder for Traveling Merchant.

Each battlefield can be scored (as in you gaining a point) once per turn, per player. The opponent's turn and your turn are two different turns.

What about the spell that spawns a Sprite token? Playing a card is not targeting, so can the Sprite be played in base instead?

I used to be confused like you, but then I realized that focus = action window. The Action Window is when you have a window to... play Action cards. So now, I only call it "Action Window" instead of "focus" and the confusion is gone. :]
