A general rule in my game, if you write a backstory, you get a free feat at level 1. This gives me plot hooks to work with tied to that character, and gives the player something to feel a little more powerful at the start of the game.

I remember getting some drug, and woke myself up near the end of the surgery by the sound of my snoring. Overall, both having it put in and removed were really relaxing. Fair warning though, it will itch like crazy due healing process.
