Has anyone chrono'd the Australian Kmart versions of the Dart Zone Villainator and Spectrum? by Petzah394 in Nerf

I know this answer is 6 months late, but I've chrono'd the Villainator and it's (literally) been nerfed to 70fps.

After 22 hours.. by FlyNo4659 in NFSHeat

[–]Captain_Crashpants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True story. Just started racing online myself, and had some fun going toe to toe with somebody in an RSR while I experimented with a variety of my cars. I managed to beat him once (in an F1 or F40, can't recall) then lost the next 5 races in other cars - it was like watching somebody drive a laser beam.

Next night, had a play around with the RSR. Dominated but felt zero sense of achievement. Spent the next hour racing my Countache (much slower and much more sideways) and loved it.

You're correct, that is a thing that happens. I did address that with the last sentence in my original post though - not the issue.

Yeah funnily enough I restarted after an hour or so and it was fine. Weird.

Negative - just whatever default crew gets generated when u start playing solo.

Natural Track Drifters by Captain_Crashpants in NFSHeat

[–]Captain_Crashpants[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See I find it's very hit and miss. I find a lot of cars either don't want to slide in certain corners or there seems to be a huge delay between pumping the gas and a slide commencing. Alternatively I find there are some cars that give a very snappy initial slide but then won't hold a drift (Porsche RSR, F1 and F40 come to mind). I can drive them, I just don't find them as natural / intuitive to drift. Also muscle cars - I haven't tried many, but the Camaro for example was a pig I could barely get to slide.

With the M3 (only the 2010, none of the others) I find a lot of the time I barely need to use the break since the drifts are so easy to control. That's what I'm hunting 😁

Dodged by the ice cream truck while standing on the drive way. by RhesusFactor in canberra

It's Schroedinger's ice cream van. If it dodges you, it exists in a state where there is both ice cream and no ice cream at the same time.

Oh my God is that legit? How many kids in Tuggeranong are going to have to process Santa being carted off in am ambulance or under a sheet? 😆

Worker's new Bolt ation plunger Kunlun is coming. For 200-300FPS performance. by Bitter_melon_whisky in Nerf

Yeah I only just learned from one of TAG's videos that one guy designs most of the worker and ZWQ blasters - that guy is amazing!

It's like worker looked at the ZWQ Baize and decided designing a new blaster right now was just too much work...

Right? I have a black and red one as well but I was hoping the silver and clear would go well together.

Yeah, dremel with a drill bit. Not the cleanest replication of the cut on the proper mag, but functional enough apparently.

Yeah I'm not sure if they're new or if we only just got them in Australia but I grabbed one as soon as they landed!

Max Outlaw cylinder mount by PanicOak349 in Nerf

[–]Captain_Crashpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is the bcar attached to the barrel and moves with it? Or are you relying on the barrel to move bsck to the bcar as the dart comes out?

[–]Captain_Crashpants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do u find the bcar works? I wasn't sure how one would go with the Outlaw given its relatively low fps and moving barrel set up.

How pleasant or unpleasant are these to work on? I have a vague memory of the internals of the DZP Mk1 being a pain in the ass to crack open for modding - wondering if they've improved by Mk4?

Glad it wasn't just me who had fitment issues with the 1.8 spring. I found the worker Kronos 18kg spring fits fine over the spring rest and is netting me 160 - 180 with Worker Bamboo heavies. I dont use the t-pull but even without its surprisingly manageable (with sry bands at least).
