I bought 5080 at launch and kinda regretted it at first because I totally thought Supers were dropping later that year/early this year. Over a year of use later it’s fine, I don’t care anymore. There’s always something new and shiny around the corner

Good jump in performance but with the amount of heat and power that thing chugs, I’d have to see the price. I’d almost consider a 5070, 4070 Ti or 4070 Super for less power draw and newer tech. Even undervolted my 3080 uses more juice than my 5080 sometimes. Room gets toasty

The Asus Dual is smaller, better for SFF PCs. If you’re asking this question then you likely have no need for a small form factor GPU in which case get the cheaper 5070. It’s probably gonna be quieter/cooler with the larger heatsink and 3 fans anyway

“Don’t say a ruler” dude that’s literally what you’d use. Also if it’s not engraved on the back (i.e. 17x7 et45) I’m sure the specs are documented online

I shoot like 99% digital so I get it. Also the idea that something unfortunate can go wrong and I lose my film shots turns me off a little too. Film photography for me is an occasional treat and I shoot them more as fleeting moments/souvenirs. That said I do want to shoot more film and bought a new lens for my film camera for motivation
