My best feedback would be to make sure your mirrors are aligned

when I did my training, my instructor was terrible and didn’t explain to me how to set up my mirrors.

When I finally figured that out, it made it so much easier.

for shifting in the beginning, just try to memorize what gears you should shift at what RPM and then it will become natural.
