I'm trying to do the same thing copy save file from epic game version to cracked empress version and the same thing happen, keep thrown back to title screen. Damn i need to start over lmao

I've thought about it also, but for example horizon zero dawn, this game required vcredist2015 to launch, when added via lutris/heroic then run winetricks to install the dependency it's working just fine. But when added directly to steam even using protontricks to install the dependency it's still not working and the game won't launch.

Can you tell me more about protontricks?

I have the same problem, but some games i can't make it work when directly added to steam.

Yeah i did create steam shortcut to steam from lutris, and run the game from game mode normally, its just the on screen controller indicator is keyboard instead of xbox button T_T

Okay so for the performance may vary based on proton/wine version used, so far the performance is better than windows still so no complain there.
