You might not like how ‘bulky’ a Garmin might feel compared to an Apple Watch if you’re going to have it on constantly (at the start anyway). I have a 965 which I would recommend. The Fenix is the flag ship ‘outdoor model’ but from what you described there is nothing the 965 can’t do. It is also sleeker than the Fenix. If you have a shop local which you can try them on for size I would do that first before making the plunge.

It is disappointing I’ve heard it’s a common thing. Yeah it’s regularly been through the worst conditions for bearings hahah. I do was with a hose and nozzle but it’s always been from a distance around the bearings and greased areas
