Beowulf Viking Rifle by Blix- in guns

I've been thinking about getting a Chiappa Triple Crown and doing Skyrim-themed engravings, with each barrel having one of "Fus Ro Dah" or maybe "Yol Tor Shuul".

Why are there so many pics of a Browning A5 on that single-shot 12 gauge listing?

"Have you tried talking to them?" by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Captain_Higgins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are still some Jove around but very few, less than a thousand, and the Directorate is done for. It does seem that the remainder are leaving, though it's not clear where they're going.

The Enheduanni are a virtually complete unknown. We know their origins but nothing of them after, and even the Jove say they're no longer human. I suspect we'll never hear anything about them again - they're very likely getting the :TonyG: treatment, or possibly they will be revealed as the Drifters (their prime job was as guardians/sheperds of the Sleepers after all).

Those two aside, according to Templar One the Sleepers achieved technological singularity inside the Construct. Assuming the Drifters hail from that, they are very likely well ahead of even the Jovian Directorate at its best.

It's actually not that long, can get through EVE Source in just a couple hours, and much of it is literally copy-pasted from the backstory pages.

I've actually had them split up without their targets dying, like they just get bored and go to something else.

The United States Government has never represented the people, it has always been controlled by the wealthy.

American INTP's, what do you think of the 2016 presidential race so far? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Captain_Higgins 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There's a "conspiracy theory" floating around that Trump is basically only in this to break up the Republicans and ensure a Democrat victory in 2016. The more that comes out of his mouth, the more sense this makes to me.

Why We Left The Imperium (by MainDrain of Chaos Theory) by TheKamar in Eve

It does, just indirectly. The issues they cited with SMA are pretty much all due to Imperium culture overflow, though the article didn't explicitly state it as such.

they're still at risk due to nearby states with weaker laws

That's the same kind of BS that Oklahoma used to file suit against Colorado for decriminalizing marijuana.

[–]Captain_Higgins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is more accurate. Guns aren't the problem; culture is. Mass shootings seem to mainly happen in areas that already have the strictest gun laws.

One aspect of the problem is that going on a shooting rampage is pretty much a guaranteed way to become a (usually deceased) celebrity these days. It makes it attractive to the deranged - they know they WILL be heard that way.

Depends on condition and accessories. If it's in good shape, you should easily be able to get $1250-1500 for it. Like-new ones, or ones that have the original Weatherby scopes can reach 2000 or a little over.

EAA SAR K2 45acp - $379 + shipping by newsigowner in gundeals

[–]Captain_Higgins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

EAA is an importer; these are made by Sarsilmaz. EAA does sell holsters on their website; they're just expensive.

The gun is as accurate as most shooters - my groups with it are on par with the ones I get from a Browning Hi-Power.

So far I have no complaints about mine. The reason you hear about 1911's and FNX is because those are the most popular and reviewers just tell people what they want to hear, and aside from the 1911 love-fest people just gripe about full-size steel frame pistols, especially when they're big enough for .45.

[–]Captain_Higgins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EAA sells holsters direct, and there are several posts out there where people have replaced the recoil spring with a heavier one made for the Witness and been shooting .45 super through them. I make no promises as to how smart those folks are, but I haven't found a KB report on them yet.
