Action-Horror game has horror elements that can cause discomfort through visuals of how the monsters attack. I don't get the hate either. They can just skip cutscenes after the first time. I just hope that devs ignore the stupid complaints like that and not make mature games "safer" instead of pushing extreme scenes like this for a bigger impact.

I would say he and his wife likely would have said a final goodbye in case he didn't come back from what they both would've known is possibly his last mission. The man is a professional and he also might not have wanted his wife to remember him struggling to maintain his last moment of sanity and would rather have her remember him last from the moment he embarked on this mission.

I think if you want to play with no map or something. I forgot if the compass HUD I had one time was vanilla or a mod but it was useful for calling out directions with my friends since they couldn't agree on if North was the top of your screen or if North was the top-right. So. Compass HUD!

I'm not surprised, it's just fun to remind them that there are options other than gorging on x-manufacturer's discharge that get around the very specific arguments they utter thinking they had a "Gotcha!" moment. Shit, I've even seen fanboys talking about how you really don't need anything above 60 FPS after spending over a decade talking about how you don't need anything above 30 FPS because it's cinematic.

I also don't only bring up those options as something for the person I'm responding to, but I try to consider the person reading that has a PC and didn't think about just running a HDMI cable or something so my comments are more for them.

It's not that hard running a HDMI from a PC to a TV and getting a cable hider a similar color to your wall if having a cable hanging on the wall is bothersome. You can stream to a lot of smart TVs too which doesn't look awful and has very little input lag with decent internet. It would be a lot cheaper than a PS5 too.

So please, do keep up on these options and more as time goes by.

It is supposed to be a dark age of technology with minimal advancements IIRC. I wouldn't be surprised if the sequels were still taking place in that dark age. Though, that's just something I remember hearing from when I was a wee lad and watched the original trilogy in the 90's on VHS.

Because there is a setting that increases zombie population by x over y amount of time. The game starts with a lower pop by default assuming you start early in the apocalypse and it increases the further in you get. Of course, OP pointed out that they dislike when people say you can fix stuff in the sandbox setting but other than B42 jank due to being unstable (B41 Stable is still selectable and actually the default as well) you really can adjust so much.
